Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump disavowed white nationalist and former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke in a tweet Sunday.
"As I stated at the press conference on Friday regarding David Duke- I disavow."
Earlier Sunday morning, Trump avoided a question about whether he'd condemn Duke's racism.
The GOP front-runner said on CNN's "State of the Union" he didn't know anything about Duke and would need to research his connections before deciding whether he would condemn them.
"I have to look at the group. I don't know what group you're talking about," he said. "You wouldn't want me to condemn a group that I know nothing about."

Co-0rdinated plan. A couple days ago there was a magazine cover with Trump’s pic superimposed in front of two hooded klansmen. And two hooded”klansmen” outside one of Trump’s rallies. One of the hooded guys was holding a sign, and his hand was Black! Co-ordinated attack!

Most all Americans with an iq over room temp knows who David Duke is, the CNN quote will be featured in ads this fall count on it.
So what was his 100k to the Clinton foundation supposed to buy?
BTW the Koch brothers have much larger businesses than Trump, I don’t see them donating to liberals all the time.
They don’t live in New York City and have to deal with democratic machine politics. I think they live in rural America somewhere, Kansas or Nebraska. Don’t know how many business ventures they have in Las Vegas, South Florida or New York City, which are largely dem controlled cities. Statewide has republicans.
As for Clinton, she was a former NY Senator, with I am sure lots of influence in New York state and city politics. If Trump is having problems with Zoning in New York City, etc call in a favor and have Hillary lean on the local NYC dems to cut the red tape and let him buy and re-develop this Hotel or that hotel, etc. This is just a hypothesis. Why did he give $5K to Cruz’s senate campaign, maybe to hedge Obama’s economic policies and regulatory policies by supporting a Conservative in the U.S. Senate to be a check on Obama.
David Duke has not been in the US in years. He runs a neo nazi “university” in Kiev, Ukraine..
David Duke was also a Democrat, as was Donald Trump.

But are you really suggesting that because Obama shacked up with Ayers and, well I could give you a dozen names Obama had associations with, Trump shouldn't condemn the Klan and Duke, who to my knowledge he has no relations with. Avoiding the KKK tarpit would have been simple, a no brainer.
Yes, he did disavow Duke, in 2000 when the Reform Party nomination was in play. What happened, old age?

Trump already did disavow Duke several times last week so you present a false choice. Trump has absolutely no association with those clowns. Therefore, the question is totally inappropriate and an attempt to drag Trump into the KKK tar pit and smear him by (non) association. Any conversation on the subject is an attempt to damage Trump and he has absolutely no reason to go down that road in a TV interview.
