"A nation without borders is like a house without walls it collapses. As Arizona's Governor, I witnessed too much heartache, loss and suffering caused by illegal immigration," Brewer said in a statement announcing her endorsement. "For years I pleaded with the federal government to do their job and secure our border. Today, we can elect a President who will do just that Donald J. Trump."

You’ve got backwards.
Borders are meaningless without the Constitution.

It’s not just illegal immigrants. We also have absurd lax policies on refugees from all over the world including Cuba who are treated to expensive benefits while our own country falls apart and jobs are nonexistent for some. Then we have an unending supply of H1Bs, etc that are here purely for cheap labor to undermine educated engineers etc.
We need a Congress that makes pledges, but to make America great.

maybe you’re right.
I really want Cruz in ‘24. but I like him and a lot of people don’t
SCOTUS would be GREAT and honor to a great American of Italian descent, Antonin Scalia.
we were all so proud having 2 on the court :(

Found it. Thanks.
If Cruz folds and supports Rubio I wonder how his 20-25% breaks for Trump and Rubio. I am guessing 60% goes to Trump.
Ted then looks like a fool when Trumps wins the presidency and he ends up being a personal injury lawyer in Las Vegas specializing in stripper slips and falls.
To: r_barton
lol. That’s how win over Cruz supporters.
some people would have labeled the elephant Cruz.
go Trump.

I was a Cruz guy until today, actually this evening.
I'm sick of the stuff going on here. I decided my position is just to support whoever the Republican Nominee happens to be when the smoke clears.
Trump was my second choice and I think he just might make it. I see no path for Cruz outside of a Miracle.
The only saving grace is Jeb! dropping out which will make my pulling the Handle a whole lot easier, unless it's Rubio of course. #;^)

Six months ago, I was for Walker and the folks for Cruz here walked all over Walker supporters. The shoe is now on the other foot and Trump supporters have come seemingly out of nowhere to walker all over Cruz supporters.
But I didn’t give up on Walker until he dropped out. I’m for Cruz now and have no intention of giving up on him until he drops out or Trump is the nominee.
Whoever you think deserves your vote is the one who should get it. So vote for them when you get the chance. A brokered convention doesn’t bother me.

I suppose it should bother me if there's a brokered convention, because that's where people are expecting establishment shenanigans. If that happens, folks will know it when they smell it. In that case, the party may have kept itself in the clutches of the establishment, but they will likely ensure that their nominee will lose in the general.

How about this? Trump elected POTUS, nominates Cruz to SCOTUS to replace Scalia. IMHO, that's a fine idea. But Cruz might run into trouble in the Senate where he's not well liked.
