All these polls coming out of TX with wildly different results, have one big thing in common: ALL OF THEM WERE CONDUCTED PRIOR TO CRUZ’S POOR SHOWING IN NEVADA. To really know what is going on in TX, we have to wait for polls conducted after Nevada, and these probably won’t be out until this weekend.
The University of Houston Poll has Cruz over Trump by 15 points in Texas.
For the life of me, I don’t see the appeal of Rubio.
He's the establishment boy! He'll "reach across the aisle" and "work with the democrats" and "find common ground", ie., take in the backside and give them everything they want.

I think Trump underperformed to polls in Iowa, and overperformed in NH, SC and NV, so there is that, too. If the poll says "tie," chances (and momentum) favor Trump winning.
More than just chance, it was a big venue with convenient parking, so more likely to attract the press - and being more likely to attract the press, it is more likely to attract the candidates and their surrogates.
He's handsome, and he uses good diction when presenting his lies to the public.
Why? He has Jeb's donors now, and if they didn't panic when Jeb was at 5% for 6 months, they ought to be thrilled now with The Rube consistently above 15-20% in multiple states.

Agreed, 1000% How does Cruz doe that without it looking negative. Bringing Beck on board was a very BAD decision.
Cruz has moved campaign operations to The Alamo. The campaign’s death will be glorious and remembered throughout the ages.
47 delegates are awarded by the statewide total proportionally (unless they get over 50% - not likely from the polls). Then each of 36 districts have 3 delegates, awarded proportionally to any candidate getting over 20%. (50% gets all 3).
From the polls, even if Cruz wins Trump will still get quite a few delegates.
Regardless of how well Cruz does on Tuesday, I don't think he has the national appeal to overtake Trump. As a Trump supporter, I don't begrudge Cruz taking his home state of Texas. Trump will still get his share of delegates as it's a proportional state (all of them on Super Tuesday are).
Leading with 29%? It would be better for Cruz to drop out now than to win with a paltry 29%! George W Bush won the primary in TX in 2000 with 88% of the vote!!! 29% is pathetic.
