Trump wins Nevada caucuses

Donald Trump trounced his rivals in the Nevada caucuses on Tuesday, notching his third consecutive victory and giving the Manhattan mogul even more momentum heading into Super Tuesday next week, when voters in a dozen states will cast their ballots.

Trump’s decisive win, which the Associated Press announced immediately after polls closed, was propelled by an electorate even more enraged than the ones that had swept him to wins in New Hampshire and South Carolina, and a second-place showing in Iowa.

"We love Nevada. We love Nevada,” Trump declared in his victory speech. "Ah, this is a great place."

For the first time in the 2016 primary season, media entrance polls showed that a majority of voters, 57 percent of Nevada caucus-goers, said they were "angry" with the federal government. Another 36 percent said they were dissatisfied.

And, as significantly, they want to bring in an outsider to fix it. More than three in five caucus-goers said they favor someone from outside the political establishment rather than a candidate with political experience as president.

That was bad news for Marco Rubio, who is now 0 for 4 in the February contests, and Ted Cruz, who won the Iowa caucuses but finished a disappointing third in South Carolina on Saturday.

With about 15% counted it looks like Trump will clse the night in the mid-40's.

Cruz and Rubio in the mid or low twenties.

In Thursday's debate, each candidate needs to be asked: What is your plausible path to the nomination? How do you win?

Only one will have an answer that is not complete BS.

The others will have to smile and lie.

I think the politicians should go back to D.C. and wait for Trumps arrival.

Right now Trump is at 46.4% of the vote. Will he get 50%?

He got a whopping 46% of the Hispanic vote.

Wow! Is all I can say!

Yep, and it looks like he may hold a 20% lead over Rubio and 25% over Cruz. That is a crushing defeat, and while Rubio will continue to get funding from the RNC, Cruz is going to feel a lot of pressure to cut his donor’s losses and fold the tent sooner rather than later.

He managed to narrowly win Iowa under a cloud, but after three losses in a row you don’t have to be a genius to see that Super Tuesday is not going to alter his trajectory.

"Wow! Is all I can say!"

I take some pride in being Trump's first vocal advocate on FR, back before he announced in June.

Of course Wendle thinks he was first too, so I'll give it to him. It's too big of a night to disagree over a few hours some where.

Gingrich said the other day he has never seen anything like it.

Well Newt, I havent either.

The slime will now get chucked at him from every direction. And they wont understand why he keeps doing well.

Here is a hint. PEOPLE are sick and TIRED of the corrupt, lying sleazy politicians in the Nor Loch. And whatever they throw at him will only piss off the people more.
Folks have had it!

“While anything is possible, I believe Trump is unstoppable.”

I’m not usually one to toot my own horn, but I’ve been saying since Trump entered the race, that he would be the one. I’ve never had a single doubt that he’d claim the lead early on, and hold it throughout the primary.

He will be our nominee, and go on to become president.

I couldn’t be happier about what that means for the future direction of the country.
