Breaking— CRUZ CAMPAIGN STAFFER SAYS CAMPAIGN IS DONE —

ted cruz

A Ted Cruz campaign staffer today told CNN the campaign is done. “His Campaign is done.”

“The Cruz campaign has to focus on getting basic campaign techniques right,” said a Republican operative who works for the presidential campaign, who asked not to be identified. “I don’t think Cruz can win the nomination at this point. I think his campaign is done.”

Cruz took a huge blow on Saturday after he could not win a single county in South Carolina, a state with an enormous evangelical vote.

You have absolutely no proof that Democrats are voting in large numbers in the Rep primaries. The exit polls don’t show it in any of the primaries so far, i.e., IA, NH, and SC. Pure rationalization as to why Cruz is getting beat and beat badly. Super Tuesday will be devastating for Cruz.

Why are they allowing 17-year-olds to vote?

Good catch, GW.

Donald Trump has been telling supporters that if he wins South Carolina he thinks he could, quote, "Run the table." Yeah. And if he doesn't win, he'll flip over the table like an angry New Jersey housewife. ~ Jimmy Fallon

Is that what passes for wit in the left-o-sphere these days?

I hope you're not actually impressed by that.

Cruz may be finished but we are not going to know for sure until March 1. Right now Cruz has a pretty good lead in Texas. If Cruz wins Texas then he has a chance to win a few others down South. If he fails at either of those tasks then and only then is he finished.

But, be warned: Trump vs Rubio, the WP, LAT, WSJ, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News and the entire GOP Establishment is not going to be the cakewalk envisioned by the nearly blind FR Trumpeteers and Trumpettes.

If Cruz falls short on 3/1 as many predict then we need to face the fact that we may have a Trump/Rubio ticket to deal with. All you Cruz Bashers out there who joined in the Pants on Fire Campaign need to give that possibility a little thought.

No, not impressed, but I do find it funny, considering it does hint to the truth of Trumps temperment.

I think you are right; SC is NO LONGER the evangelical stronghold it was in the days of its neighbor, GA Jimmuh.

Trump’s momentum has gained so much steam since SC that any chance for Cruz or even Rubio is finished. Barring some upset... it’s over.

Jesse Helms was truly the best. If you have a chance go to his museum in Wingate east of Charlotte. NC will never again find anyone of his excellence.

“I do find it funny”

Well, I suppose that’s some consolation, considering you probably supported Ted.

Cling to your snark and libtard jokes, friend. It’s all you’ve got left.

He was not a close friend but I met him a couple of times when I was in the Air Force. He talked to me for half an hour and asked about my family, my parents names, what my father did for living, my children’s names, what I did in the military, where I’d been stationed. Finally he got around to asking me how he could help me. He especially lite up when I told my old man never missed his editorial at the end of the news. I wish I could get a copy of them. All were classics on what it meant to be an American, the state of affairs in America, how liberalism was destroying the country and how we had to defeat communism and radical feminism and affirmative action. He hated liberals with a passion.

Santorum is not an evangelical protestant, he is a traditional Catholic, hence his lack of support among the evangelical protestants there. One of the major influences on public opinion in South Carolina and its evangelicals is Bob Jones University, not too friendly towards Catholics.
