Breaking— CRUZ CAMPAIGN STAFFER SAYS CAMPAIGN IS DONE —
A Ted Cruz campaign staffer today told CNN the campaign is done. “His Campaign is done.”
“The Cruz campaign has to focus on getting basic campaign techniques right,” said a Republican operative who works for the presidential campaign, who asked not to be identified. “I don’t think Cruz can win the nomination at this point. I think his campaign is done.”
Cruz took a huge blow on Saturday after he could not win a single county in South Carolina, a state with an enormous evangelical vote.

in South Carolina, a state with an enormous evangelical vote. I keep pointing out that South Carolina is an open primary state. What happened there is that DEMOCRATS voted for Trump. Establishment types voted for Rubio.

Sounds to me like Tick Tyler is butthurt because Cruz fired him, and is now getting other staffers to sabotage his campaign. The biggest thing Cruz will learn from this whole thing is who to trust and not trust.

Unnamed.
This couldn't possibly be the work of one of the other campaigns. They're all far too ethical.

Trump only defends himself when attacked.
Cruz never had any issues until he began to attack Trump. That was his biggest mistake.
Rubio right now is not attacking Trump.

I keep pointing out that South Carolina is an open primary state. What happened there is that DEMOCRATS voted for Trump. 75 percent of voters were Evangelicals. Trump whipped Cruz's ass. You can't blame the Democrats for this one.

With Burney and Hillary hard at it, difficult to believe that many OpChaos Dems went Republican in SC.
The ones that did went for Jeb, obviously the softest target for November.

Joe Scarborough and Chuck Todd said the same thing this morning. For what it’s worth.

Anonymous staffer.
I think Joe Scarborough said much the same this morning.
I don’t like “anonymous” tattle teller’s even when I agree.

You may be over-simplifying it. Dems vote this coming Saturday for Bernie or Hitlary in SC, providing they did NOT vote in the R primary this past Saturday. Doubt there was that much staunch Dem crossover this past weekend, unless they intend to vote for DT in the General.
Things are a bit different this year in SC.
