Orrin Hatch endorses Marco Rubio
Washington Examiner ^ | 2/22/16 3:49 PM | Ryan Lovelace

Posted on 02/22/2016 2:44:52 PM PST by pilgrim

Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch endorsed Florida Sen. Marco Rubio for president, the senator's staff confirmed to the Washington Examiner.

Hatch is one of the highest ranking Republicans in Congress, and he is third in the line of the succession to the U.S. presidency as president pro tempore of the United States Senate.

The six-term senator had previously endorsed Jeb Bush and sought the Republican presidential nomination in 2000. Hatch's endorsement could be interpreted as a sign of the party's governing class rallying to Rubio.

People in UT truly believe in Orrin even if they don’t know he was born in PA.

From Mr Hatch:

I think that this is representative of the group think in Washington. If people really thought for themselves and represented and understood their constituents you figure at least one of them would support one of the 2 guys who is currently commanding 60% support nationwide.

I expect McAcain and Linda Graham’s lap poodle, Kelly Ayotte will endorse Rubio before long. Sununu is probably riding her to do it right now.

More stupidity. Americans saying in huge numbers they are voting on “change DC,” and Rubes gets a DC dinosaur to “endorse him.”

Yep...Levin helped this shill get re-elected, last time :(

But, Levin, Rush and Hannity would be fine with a Rube for Prez. CRuz and Rube are same diff, to them.

Too late. He lined up 1000 GOP “endorsements” in IA, only to find in subsequent polls that Trump was crushing the “most likely to change Washington” category. This includes state establishment types. The endorsements were a huge negative for Cruz in SC.

You obviously do not listen to Levin. He despises Rubio.

Its looking more like the field has been cleared for the establishment candidate to go solo against Trump. I hope it doesn't turn out that Trump supporters have outsmarted themselves.

Well the GOPe lost their big choice with Tinkerbell...Marco was supposed to be V.P. The Establishment is pushing their candidate de jour really hard....Marco can't beat Hillary...the Establishment on both sides don't want the status quo changed.....they know Trump can and probably Cruz can. Think about that.

This compared to Trump? You want to go stogy like an old man at the millstone or do you want to be in a bar fight holding a broken bottle with Trump at your back?

Ouch, that one hurts. If Rubio picks up Wavy Gravy’s endorsement, it’s all over.

RINOS FOR RUBIO: The endorsement from hell

The programmed Robot seems to be getting all the establishment endorsements, a man who’s not won a single primary yet, and has no prospect of winning one any time soon. All these RINOs are on suicide watch thinking Trump will get the nomination. The ONLY ENDORSEMENT for Ruboto, that would mean a thing, is for Cruz to drop out before Super Tuesday and endorse Roboto. And he might do it considering he also has no chance at the nomination and he if wants to be AG his only shot is to call it quits and prove to everyone what smart people already know and that’s Cruz is as much establishment as Roboto.

Hatch wants to be on Supreme Court. Rubio could nominate IF he is POTUS. God forbid.

Not sure how many this will influence to vote for Rubio.

In Hatch’s mind he thinks it may influence many.
