The Washington Examiner ^ | 2/20/16 | Al Weaver

Newt Gingrich has a message for the GOP in Washington: Start taking Donald Trump seriously.

Appearing on Fox News after Trump's Saturday win in South Carolina, the former speaker of the House argued that nobody in the Washington Republican political class should kid themselves about Trump's chances any longer.

It is a huge night for Donald Trump and nobody should kid themselves. Here's a guy who seven months ago for the first time entered electoral politics, has learned at an extraordinary rate, Gingrich said, pointing to his second-place finish in Iowa and victories in New Hampshire and South Carolina.

By any reasonable standard, this is a decisive victory

“Always be closing”. This scene will explain the soul of how Trump works and why it is demolishing the paradigm.

That's also the motive of the Alpha Male PUA...which, come to think of it, means that most of them would do well as salesmen of some kind.

"Actually, Pat was WAY ahead of Newt on this. In fact, Pat has been vindicated on a lot of his long-held opinions lately."

Yes you are correct on the timing of Pat. He has really become the wise sage of the Conservative movement and I look forward to his weekly ( or more often ) writings.

I have to give Trump credit for this- he not only learned fast, he learned the rules and then broke them and played by his own. That I admire.

If he could go to DC and do the same while turning this country back to it's real potential, he'll go down in history as a remarkable POTUS.

The type of man he is leads me to think that is his goal.

Yes. Please, God.

Let your guy win. Then feel superior when the invading Muslim refugees start beheading your friends and family. Will it be worth it?

“It’s not up to Trump to understand them, it’s up to them to understand Trump”.

Would make a good tag line

I saw Gingrich’s interview. He seemed in awe that Trump was able to “learn” so quickly and so well how to campaign for president.

Ted Cruz knows that it takes more to defeat extremism than just going on a twitter rant.

Trump may just be that person but its going to be a tough hill to climb, even for him.

Yep, it'll be like dragging a bunch of little kids to the barber to get their first haircut.

That's a crock for the 401k losers who just buy and hold. Why do you think they have hedge funds instead of just index funds. Only a moron would have let billions sit in index funds when all the smart money knew the crash was coming in 2008. If sitting in index funds works, why did millions of folks lose their retirement money and now are still working - that is if they are lucky enough to have a job.

So, that index comment works fast and loose with the facts. If you just look at the average growth in index funds it can give you a certain number, but if you lose over half your investment on crashes then the individual investor isn't working on growth averages because the investor lost his money.

No. The VP pick has to be younger. Trump is 68 which would leave him 76 if he serves two terms.
Newt sould be asked to serve as his chief advisor for dealing with congress.

By doing so he will also expose just how incompetent and destructive Obama was. He will essentially expose Obama as the worst president in history.
