The Washington Examiner ^ | 2/20/16 | Al Weaver

Newt Gingrich has a message for the GOP in Washington: Start taking Donald Trump seriously.

Appearing on Fox News after Trump's Saturday win in South Carolina, the former speaker of the House argued that nobody in the Washington Republican political class should kid themselves about Trump's chances any longer.

It is a huge night for Donald Trump and nobody should kid themselves. Here's a guy who seven months ago for the first time entered electoral politics, has learned at an extraordinary rate, Gingrich said, pointing to his second-place finish in Iowa and victories in New Hampshire and South Carolina.

By any reasonable standard, this is a decisive victory

I have to give Trump credit for this- he not only learned fast, he learned the rules and then broke them and played by his own. That I admire.

The establishment has more to lose than the rats. If they support trump they will have to change thier ways and I think thier in to deep especially with the rats. They are both playing us

I’ve taken Trump seriously for quite a while, waiting for other candidates to step up. Not happening as fast as I’d have liked.

"Gingrich on the effect of last night's election. Like it or not, this is Trump's to win or lose."

Newt, love him or dislike him, he is often prescient with this observations, much like Pat Buchanan is.

I don't often watch Faux News anymore but heard him last night on this and this was his money line...

"What people need to get a grip on in the Washington establishment is their job is to understand Trump. His job isn't to understand them. They live in a world of ideas and details and policy programs and long papers and conferences and ideas. This guy lives in a world of making very big decisions, doing very big things, and I think you could start keeping a list."

How in hell do you all think he was able to become a billionaire, by magic?

That’s actually a good idea, maybe Gingrich could help Trump to not stray from the conservative straight and narrow, if he ever gets wobbly.

A fantastic idea. Newt has all the DC knowledge anyone could possibly need to hit the ground running.

Amen to that. I like Cruz, a lot, but I have to just ignore that endorsement. Freaking lunatic Beck, who wants us to “hug a thug” or the illegal alien equivalent?!

Fasting for Cruz? What the heck, he claims he is down to only 100 foods with this aliment he suffers from, how is that going to help his condition by not eating. Oye Vey....

—— has learned at an extraordinary rate——

Trump is said to a non politician. Somewhere behind a gleaming polished bronze curtain there is the best political team in the business. That invisible team must be given some credit..... it is certainly due

Being born a multi-millionaire doesn't hurt. Trump hasn't done magic with money (investing it all in the Dow Jones wuld have given him equal or better results), he has done magic in crafting a persona the last 30 years. Some have the base to do it where it can translate in electoral wins, some don't. Bill Gates could never do it. Steve Jobs probably could have been governor of California, but no more. Ross Perot could do it (if that's what he really wanted, rather than merely taking down Bush the Elder), Warren Buffett couldn't.

Trump’s CEO + Real Estate Mogul mind was something I saw last fall would be a deadly combination in politics.

Art of the Deal + Timing + Closing the Sale

“Always be closing”. This scene will explain the soul of how Trump works and why it is demolishing the paradigm.

I keep Trump in my prayers daily.

There are evil men out there who want him dead since he’s not establishment or NWO. Who knows when the elites or leftists will try something.
