Warren Zevon - Werewolves Of London

I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand
Walkin' through the streets of Soho in the rain
He was lookin' for the place called Lee Ho Fooks
Gonna get a big dish of beef chow mein

Aaahoo! Werewolves of London
Aaahoo!
Aaahoo! Werewolves of London
Aaahoo!

Ya hear him howlin' around your kitchen door
Ya better not let him in
Little old lady got mutilated late last night
Werewolves of London again

Aaahoo! Werewolves of London
Aaahoo!
Aaahoo! Werewolves of London
Aaahoo!

He's the hairy, hairy gent, who ran amok in Kent
Lately he's been overheard in Mayfair
You better stay away from him
He'll rip your lungs out Jim
Huh, I'd like to meet his tailor

Aaahoo! Werewolves of London
Aaahoo!
Aaahoo! Werewolves of London
Aaahoo!

Well, I saw Lon Chaney walkin' with the queen
Doin' the werewolves of London
I saw Lon Chaney Jr. walkin' with the queen
Doin' the werewolves of London
I saw a werewolf drinkin' a pina colada at Trader Vic's
And his hair was perfect

Aaahoo! Werewolves of London
Draw blood
Aaahoo! Werewolves of London

America - Horse With No Name

On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound

I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la

After two days in the desert sun
My skin began to turn red
After three days in the desert fun
I was looking at a river bed
And the story it told of a river that flowed
Made me sad to think it was dead

You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la

After nine days I let the horse run free
'Cause the desert had turned to sea
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
there was sand and hills and rings
The ocean is a desert with it's life underground
And a perfect disguise above
Under the cities lies a heart made of ground
But the humans will give no love

You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la

That is a children’s song we used to sing with the kids on long car trips.

Just a quick fly-by before getting ready to head out for the evening. Hope everyone’s having a grand Friday.

Wanted to say THANK YOU, TEXAS, for sending some of your nice WARM weather up our way. It’s nice not freezing when we walk out the door.
But I don’t dare wear a wide-brimmed hat today. I’d take off like the Flying Nun! LOL!

Have a great afternoon and evening. Catch y’all later tonight.

I hope you mom’s having a better day today. Makes for a better day for you, not having to fret about her. You have plenty on your plate already getting ready for the big move.

ROCKUMENTARY: FEBRUARY 20, 1972

Cue the Rockumentary theme on Turntable #2!

The San Remo Golden Strings: "Festival Time"

#5: Three Dog Night: "Never Been to Spain"

They came out of Lou Adler's shop and spent their career covering the songbooks of Rado, Ragny & McDermott ("Hair"), Laura Nyro, Paul Williams and Hoyt Axton, who wrote this number.
