White House says Obama ‘regrets’ filibuster against Alito nomination in 2006
The Washington Times ^ | February 17, 2017 | Dave Boyer

The White House said Wednesday that President Obama "regrets" his filibuster against Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito in 2006, but insisted the situation was different than Republicans' current vow to block any nominee to replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia.

"These are two different things," said White House press secretary Josh Earnest. "The president's objections to then-President Bush's nominee were based in substance."

In 2006, then-Sen. Obama and 23 other Democrats -- including Hillary Clinton -- tried to filibuster Justice Alito's nomination. He was confirmed for the high court anyway.

Too bad! Obama didn’t regret early enough, like back in 2008!

The Republicans that seem t go with Democrats must have been taped raping little girls and boys because I can’t come up with a reason for their votes beyond blackmail.

Liar! Reports have surfaced that Obama was jubilant when learning of Justice Scalia’s death. Obama, however, has been honored by Baskin-Robbins when introducing their new flavor:

In honor of the 44th President of the United States , Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream has introduced a new flavor: Barocky Road

Barocky Road is a blend of half vanilla, half chocolate, and surrounded by nuts and flakes. The vanilla portion of the mix is not openly advertised and usually denied as an ingredient. The nuts and flakes are all plentiful.

The cost is $92.84 per scoop...so, out of a $100 bill, you are at least promised some CHANGE.

When purchased, it will be presented to you in a large beautiful cone, but after you pay for it, the ice cream is taken out of the cone and given to the person in line behind you at no charge.

You are left with an almost-empty wallet, staring at an empty cone and wondering what just happened. Then you realize this is what “redistribution of wealth” is all about.

Roberts does everything he does of his own free will. The smirk when he first swore Obama into office said it all.

The idea of separation of powers was to rein in any other branch of government should such branches become tyrannical in their disposition of power. Not for them to work together for the common tyranny.
