Draft-dodger Donald Trump once said that the danger he faced from getting sexually transmitted diseases was his own “personal Vietnam.†In a 1997 interview with shock jock Howard Stern, Trump talked about how he had been “lucky†not to have contracted diseases when he was sleeping around. “I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world. It is a dangerous world out there. It’s scary, like Vietnam. Sort of like the Vietnam-era,†Trump said in a video that resurfaced Tuesday on Buzzfeed, “It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier.â€
Really, he cares about vets? Then how can he relate his sex life to the trenches and jungles of Vietnam? How utterly disrespectful.
So if something like this was said by John Kerry?................
“Did Trump actually dodge the draft? Did his daddy use his power/influence to position him in such a way as to dodge the draft?”
Unless his medical deferment was obtained fraudulently, I don’t see how Trump can be labelled a draft-dodger. 2-S student deferments were routine in the 1960s and early 1970s.
xzins, David was the King before, during and after his sin with Bathsheba. He was already exalted friend. I don’t agree with you that God is exalting Mr. Trump. To the contrary, I believe He is exalting someone else.
The upshot of any alien drafted into the military is they were each given a back ground investigation to determine their suitability. The result was most were qualified to be awarded security clearances, up to secret I believe. This had impact on availability in assignments.
You are going to have to do better than that. Single guys sleep around. Its in their DNA. :-)

And everyone doesn’t have the same opinions as I do. My opinion is that he is a jerk. As a vet I am offended by his apparent attitude that chasing whores is the same as fighting a war.
I’m starting to think that many of his supporters might be jerks, too, because of the “who cares” attitude about him.
Well Mr. Trump is trying to appeal to moderates and Democrats now because conservatives have pretty much made up their minds. South Carolina is an open primary so he must appeal to the debased Clinton/Obama voters for their crossover votes.

David was made King prior to that murder and infidelity with Bathsheba. He had already been made king. It was that incident that humbled him. And that because Nathan confronted him. David wasn’t clamoring to repent until that confrontation.
I think you, like me, can see from the numbers that God probably is elevating Trump to the presidency. Him or Clinton, anyway.
But let me ask you this. WE’ll leave Trump/Clinton out of it. Daniel 2 says that God lifts up and deposes kings.

I had the ultimate deferment...... I was declared essential to the war effort and the Navy Captain I worked for wrote my draft board and obtained the deferment.
Not one of my clollege friends was drafted because they all had some deferment or another. Only one of our close group actually served in Vietnam and he was recruited by the Air Force as a pilot. There were two that lived with us that were ROTC and they both graduated as 2nd Lts but were not drafted.
Also remember that papa Cruz was divorced with 2 children at that time in his life.
I don’t remember the details of males, support and the draft.
I honestly don’t care that he did not serve. I do care that he compared his life to that of a combat soldier.

Twofold answer: first, I do believe far too many Christians sat out election 2012 and that’s how Obama got elected. I do not believe Obama was God’s choice. Isaiah said the government shall be on His Shoulders. Well, the Shoulders are in the Body. The Body has to vote for a person who stands for Christ. The Body in 2012 couldn’t be bothered.
Now, with that said, I believe Obama served God’s purpose in waking the Body out of sleep and rallying It to get up and take it’s country back from secular progressivism. Obama pole-vaulted into areas where others before him crept. Abandoning Israel and desecrating marriage is the final straw. As to the numbers you mention: friend, they are numbers only. Votes have not been cast but for 2 of 50 states! Gallup doesn’t even poll presidential elections anymore because they can’t guarantee proper models. Votes are real and they haven’t occured yet.
