But if it makes you feel better, we can count Trump supporter Ann Coulter in the 00.05% category that got it right and was one of the extremely rare conservative voices who spoke out against Roberts appointment.
Liberal Republicans aren’t “Progressive”, their policies are REGRESSIVE. Same thing with liberal Democrats. If you want REGRESSION, vote for someone like Trump or Bernie Sanders. If you want PROGRESS, vote for Ted Cruz.

Aside from Obamacare, Roberts was indeed a constitutional conservative and has taken the right position on nearly every decision. He’s been far better than Trump’s pro-partial birth abortion sister would have been.
Nobody claims Roberts has “special powers to determine who is a constitutional conservative”. No President is perfect, even Ronald Reagan gave us duds like Sandra Day O’Connor (and come to think it, Roberts is more conservative than O’Connor as well)
Had Cruz recommended someone like Souter, your point would be valid. Trashing Cruz for doing something that the overwhelmingly majority of conservatives did is ridiculous.
Ted Cruz has a solid track record showing he will make a sincere effort to find constitutional conservatives. Trump does not. If you want to believe Trump will do so because he “evolved” to support that position last week, and you want to trash Ted Cruz for making the same mistake about Roberts that 99% of this forum and your fellow FReepers did, go ahead. Anyone will an IQ above room temperature can figure out that Cruz can be trusted more than Trump when it comes to SCOTUS appointments.
I think you mean Cruz. If so, I disagree. He CLAIMS he will only appoint "constitutional conservatives" to the court. He couldn't identify correctly the one he endorsed.
Agree about every president, including Ronaldas Maximus. No president does what Cruz says is why we should vote for him.
I am voting for principle. I’m voting for Trump, for capitalism, fair trade, 2nd Amendment, etc.
But the biggest reason I”m voting for Trump is that he’s not bought and paid for like every other candidate. It amazes me that people can ignore the long donor lists for Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, and Bush. These politicians will all revert to puppet status as soon as elected, guaranteed.
We have one hope and it’s based on the principle of not being owned.
