Cigar smokers overwhelmingly back Donald Trump for president, giving him more votes of support than any other Republican or Democratic candidate, according to a new Cigar Aficionado poll of 7,500 readers.
The magazine said that Trump won the online poll with 37.8 percent followed by Sen Marco Rubio, 22.9 percent, Sen. Ted Cruz, 21.5, Ohio Gov. John Kasich 3.1, and Jeb Bush 2.9.

PING
Just another unfortunate result of the decades long dumbing down of America.
Oh, noes.....Rush is gonna have a cow, over this ;-)
I dont think there is a particular pattern or mindset for those that smoke cigars, so I would expect it to follow most regular polls, which it seems to do.
What do you think?
I’m pretty sure neither one of us smokes cigars :)
IMHO, I see it as another fortunate result of the awakening of America.
This must prove the fact ‘HE’S SMOKING!! He’s Hot!’
and he has a fire that burns.
Nope. I don’t smoke at all. I just found the poll interesting in that it is another representation of everyday Americans, from all walks of life, supporting Trump.
This just proves another fantastic aspect of Donald Trump’s capabilities: Even as a non-smoker, he can appeal to cigar smokers! Talk about being able to bring people together! ;-)
Thats good that you dont smoke. I dont either but i eat terrible so what’s the point lol.
I think it would take a unique group to get a divergent poll from the general one.
I wonder who the top 399 wealthiest republicans want. Probably jeb, so they can keep hogging all the wealth and buy him off.
Rush will not like that!
My copy arrived on my computer!
FOREWORD BY CONGRESSMAN JOHN LEBOUTILLIER
“When Jeb was at Andover he ran an illegal drug and alcohol distributorship ... selling pot and booze to his fellow students ... but when the school authorities caught wind of it, Jeb sold out one of his partners and escaped by the skin of his teeth.” This was told to me in the mid-1990s by my then-girlfriend, whose husband was one of Jeb’s Andover partners in this scheme. But because Jeb Bush had recently lost his bid to be governor of Florida, I put it in the back of my mind; his older brother, George W.— known inside the Bush family as “Junior”— had won his election in Texas and was the focus of Bush World. Jeb retreated into the background— for a while.
It’s funny how things come ‘round in the world. Jeb, of course, went on to win two terms as Florida’s chief executive and helped with the controversial recount in the 2000 Florida presidential election that made “Junior” our 43rd president. Today, Jeb himself is running for president.
In October 2006 I attended my 30th Harvard Reunion. During a cocktail party a classmate of mine who I didn’t really know, Charles Hirschler, came up to me and began talking: “Did you know that while I was at Andover with Jeb Bush, he ran this drug dealership with two other guys ... they were selling drugs and booze to students ... but Jeb cut and ran and sold out someone to save himself?”
There it was again— more than a decade after I first heard it.

I do, and all of my cigar smoking friends tend toward Trump. Churchill was a renegade too. :-)
Do you actually inhale Cigars like Cigarettes? If not, where does the pleasure come from? serious question :)
another busy night at work here lol!!
Dumb is dumb, whether they like cigars or not.
Some of those 'cigar smokers' I'd bet were supporters of Castro as well.

I'm not sure that's case; e.g., cigar smokers are overwhelmingly men. Beyond that, thought, it might be very interesting to test your hypothesis.
I’ve only known of three other nuclear families where every single member had a criminal record. Those families lived in projects, however.
That is pretty good when none of the 3 top candidates smoke, I don’t think!!!
Some people do & some don’t. I don’t think you’re supposed to. I used to smoke Macanudos once in a great while, but I do inhale & as I’ve gotten older, it just messes up my lungs too much.
I love the smell of good tobacco- especially pipe tobacco. It smells like money.
