Conspiracy theories are beginning to swirl in the aftermath of the sudden death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, who was found dead at 79 in his room on Saturday morning at the Cibolo Creek Ranch in Texas.

Birther's have found a new cause celebre.
I think Scalia was the kind of guy that pretty much ran his own show, even at age 79. Having a lot of relatives painfully fade away over a period of months or years, to some extent I admire his moxie.
” If you had someone in your family aged 79 who had felt ill enough to see his doctor on consecutive days, would you have let them fly to one of the most remote area of the nation———”
Excuse me?
I am 83 years old and no one has any say on what I want to do.
What would you want done? Have him locked in a room to prevent travel?

The linked article may well be nutty, but beyond that, the death of a conservative Supreme Court justice at this time is a serious matter indeed. Given the mountain of evidence that federal, state, and especially LOCAL government, often act less than honestly and competently, “authorities” have to be made to expect outside scrutiny, hard questions, and independent review of their acts and omissions. We can’t trust the DNC news media to apply this pressure, which unfortunately leads to attempts to force attention on the issue by yelling “fire”. In this case, there are ample motives for a crime, for a cover-up of unappealing circumstances — or for making something out of nothing.
The “pillow” report could be utterly false, or have an innocent explanation, or be something grayer. The “phoned in” determination of cause of death might be the norm for the area, yet still be inadequate for the circumstances. Lab tests can detect certain enzymes present during heart attacks. (Of course, restricted oxygen supply can precipitate heart attacks). Were blood samples taken? Was the scene photo/video-graphed so that there is somewhat objective evidence to corroborate claims by “witnesses”? Who had access to the location and when? I’d give 100% odds that the FBI will investigate everything about this death, whether the public is told that or not. Let’s hear their conclusions, and see if they ring true.
I have no idea until they tell us.
“I think he died natural cause of a heart attack.”
Your thought comforts you only. He may have, but for right now, it is just a wild guess.
An autopsy would settle the matter.
Ohhhhh maybe it would and maybe it wouldn’t. If they did an autopsy.... there would still be a significant number who say the autopsy results were faked... You can never convince a tin foil conspiracy theorists.
People believe what they want to believe.... look at the number of people here who think Trumpy is a conservative and would be a good president. There are thousands of pictures, interviews of him, documentation etc etc that show he is a new York liberal democrat... yet people believe what they want to believe.
Thanks for the Poindexter correction. Looks like he is a big Obama supporter.
There are too many details surrounding his death that are suspicious to me. An autopsy would have helped clear up some of the controversies. I don’t understand why they didn’t have one. It should have been automatic in this case.
The pillow over his head was blatant, but it was not one of the reasons, I first believed this could be a murder. It’s just too convenient and too many people do not have a conscience. What’s one murder of an old man to them?
We will never know now.
He’s already been embalmed and shipped to Virginia
He is not the Poindexter that worked in the NSA. So you don’t already know he can be compromised.
This crazy let the man Rest in Peace.

1) Why is it crazy to believe the death of a Supreme Court justice should be investigated?
2) How would such an investigation impact Justice Scalia’s ability to rest in peace?
We could use your argument to prohibit inquiry into all deaths, regardless of the circumstances. Is this what you’re advocating?
The body was found in the morning after Scalia did not show up for breakfast. The body was moved to El Paso at 3 AM.
Thatâs at least 18 hours.
During that time neither of the two JPâs nor the County Judge on whom the duty devolves saw the body.
In all that time the County Judge did not see the body and, without an autopsy to determine the cause of death of the found body, literally phones it in that the cause of death is “natural”.
“Yes - its not tinfoil to simply expect a thorough investigation/medical report any time an important public figure dies. Itâs called the public trust, which apparently a big joke nowadays..”
Exactly!
I don’t find the pillow over the head to be unusual at all. As long as I remember, I’ve slept on my side with a pillow over my head (as well as one underneath my head) whenever I can. If traveling and an extra pillow isn’t available, I am not as comfortable and have a difficult time falling asleep.
I wouldn’t put it past those psychopaths to murder someone (that’s how authoritarians roll). But the man was pretty old, smoked....
He was also a devout Catholic.
“I wouldn’t want him all cut up for the casket viewing.”
You would not be able to tell the person had an autopsy.
My mother and father both had one to determine the cause of death. It is very common. Even though my mother had been sick for most of her life, they wanted to know why she died. It turns out it was the congenital aneurysm, and not the multitude other problems. My mother looked like she was sleeping in the casket. She looked so peaceful
“Iâd give 100% odds that the FBI will investigate everything about this death, whether the public is told that or not. Letâs hear their conclusions, and see if they ring true.”
If that were true, he would have had an autopsy. First Step.
