this actually makes me feel better about his sister comment.

I thought he said it from out of the blue.

Of course he’s going to praise his sister. Who wouldn’t?

Still voting for Cruz but he stated two SC picks last night and they seem quite conservative.

C’mon, everyone knows that on the basis of one off-hand comment, Donald Trump would inevitably appoint his sister to the SCOTUS, and no one else.

He’ll supports funding Planned Parenthood too...thinks they do good things if you can believe it.

We’re not going to have to worry about it if our stupid Republicans stay on break and let Obama appoint in recess.

Previously, he has said his sister, who, like him, is a New York City liberal with strong pro-abortion convictions. Trump’s true feelings on that subject are no longer known since he puts such a high value in what he calls “hyperbole” when he’s selling something in his deal making. And, of course, he’s now selling himself as a brand new “conservative.”

Trump was asked about his sister last night and he said, no that would be a conflict of interest.

No one knows. It could be a Scalia or Ginsberg.

You are late to the party.

Trump made two suggestions last night and said that he would NOT nominate his sister as it would be a conflict of interest.

His sister is now a dead topic.

His supporters just don’t want to believe that when Trump embraces positions contrary to conservatism that that is evidence that he is not a conservative. For this supporters, he gets to hold in the past and present positions that are opposed to conservatism while claiming he’s the true conservative. In fact, most of his positions are made up as he goes along. His only deeply held convictions are his liberal ones, the hatred of Republicans, the love of things like planned parenthood, and his conspiracy theories about 9/11. On that topic, he was a sure fire truther. If the Democrats would have accepted him as a presidential candidate, he would have had more visceral values that fit their worldview.

A recess appointment can happen in January but the new Senate still has to confirm or not confirm that nominee. It is not permanent.

Trump was asked about his sister last night and he said, no that would be a conflict of interest.

Just because he said he wouldn't actually appoint her doesn't mean he wouldn't ask for her advice. That actually seems quite natural/inevitable. So while his sister's views shouldn't be the end of the discussion, they certainly belong there somewhere in the mix.

I HATE it when he tweets and mentions lawsuits.

It reminds me of the Odd Couple episode where Felix wins the scalping case for Oscar but can’t stop there and gets himself into trouble! :)

can’t count the number of times i’ve liked and disliked trump in the same day!

Last night he said a conservative, someone like Scalia. He also said that this morning on “Meet the Press”.

Well since Reagan got both Scalia and Kennedy in, it depends. Bush got Alito and Roberts in and both those presidents were at least at 50% success.

Besides all that, it take 2/3rds of the senate to get a nomination passed.

Trump named TWO good conservative picks in the debate.. Cruz lied about that this morning on ABC.

First Roberts, now this.

Ted Cruz is good pals and voted to confirm Obama’s favorite for Scotus, Srikanth Srinivasan to another court.

Cruz, who clerked with Srinivasan at the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, quipped, “I am hopeful that our friendship will not be seen as a strike against you by some.”
