It was weird that an angry Code Pink-style protester interrupted last night's Republican presidential debate with a barrage of familiar Democratic talking points about George W. Bush - that he lied the country into a disastrous war in Iraq, failed to prevent the September 11 attacks, and even whiffed on an opportunity to kill Osama bin Laden. It was especially weird that the protestor was one Donald J. Trump, who happens to be the front-runner for the Republican nomination.
Trump didn't just call the Iraq war a mistake. He called it "a big fat mistake." And he didn't call it an inadvertent mistake because of faulty intelligence. "They lied!" he thundered. "They said there were weapons of mass destruction .. and they knew there were none. Trump even groused that the war cost $5 trillion that could have helped rebuild America's crumbling infrastructure, a common Democratic attack line that sounded like a canine talking point at a feline convention, especially in military-heavy South Carolina.

Trump pulled the curtain back a bit last night. I saw some of his supporters here have their eyes opened a bit.
The guy is a disaster waiting to happen.
Just imagine Trump (assuming Trump wins the Rep nomination) in a debate with Joe Biden (Biden will be the nominee for the Dems) in mid October; and watching Trump come apart then.
We would be screwed.
The primaries/caucuses/debates are good in sorting the candidates out.
I just hope more of Trumps current supporters have their eyes opened about him.

Our other choices were:
1. The Son Of A Mailman - career politician worth 10 million dollars pretending to be one of the “common folk” and a “voice of reason.” Nope.
2. Nice Brain Surgeon - No qualifications whatsoever for the job unless someone needs brain surgery.
3. Canadian Lawyer - Oh, did I say “lawyer”? I mean “liar.” Cheater, too.
4. The Punk - Talk loud and fast and no one will pay attention to what you’re saying. If they did, they’d realize you don’t know what you’re saying either because every word out of your mouth if a pre-memorized piece of scripted BS.
5. The Moron - If I didn’t have anything against his father before, I sure do now for producing this idiot, who feels he’s entitled to the Presidency because of his last name.
By the way, I voted for Trump, but not before the debate was over.
...and once again, Trump was correct. They told us they KNEW Iraq had WMD; Iraq did not. None have ever been found. The Middle East has been destabilized and we now have ISIS in America. Thank you to GWB and Obama.

Good analogy. The mess that George Bush gave this country resulted in Obama winning the election and POSSIBLY the reelection. That is totally in his hands and for that, he should not be campaigning at all. I think it was smart of him to stay on the ranch for a while. I can’t imagine why he has 52 percent approval rate. I guess people forgot. Well last night Trump reminded the United States of the Iraq mess.
If what W said in that video justifies war, we need to go ahead and bomb North Korea, Iran, ...... about half the nation’s in the world.
If we bombed Iraq for WMDs, why not bomb other potential threats? I was very unsure of us going into Iraq. I felt the administration had information that justified our actions. I haven’t seen it yet.

Another factor was the illogic. The 911 maniacs were Saudi nationals. Osama was a Saudi national. Sadam didn't allow terrorists to function in the old Iraq. GWB kissed up to the Saudis.
We didn't get real vocal back then, because everyone had wrapped the flag around ourselves and trusted that GWB would get this right.

I think that few foresaw that the international left, in addition to our own left, would take up the cause of islamo-fascism. They all wanted us to lose. I view of Sadamâs rape rooms and invasion of Kuwait that was hard to predict but then they control information warfare.
Then after we had brought stability, a new left President claimed credit for the stability and then abandoned efforts to maintain it. Perhaps this was part of his greater middle east in flames strategy.

Except these polls are very instructive as to actual support. If you remove let’s say a 20% revote factor (since one can vote across multiple devices) you are lefy with Trump in the 40% range, Cruz in the 15% range and Rubio in the low teens, right about where national polls indicate.

Trump was very close to the unhinged line last night. His utter BS blaming W for 911 was over the line.
Trump supporters will have huge buyers remorse if the guy gets nominated/or elected.
