Multiple news outlets in Texas are reporting that Justice Antonin Scalia, who served for three decades on the U.S. Supreme Court, died in his sleep of apparent natural causes Saturday at age 79. According to the San Antonio Express-News, Scalia was attending a private party at the Cibolo Creek Ranch in west Texas on Friday night. Staff reportedly found him on Saturday. President Ronald Reagan appointed Scalia to the Supreme Court in 1986, where he became the intellectual leader of the Courtâs conservative wing. Among the wider public, Scalia was one of the few justices who became a household name, due in part to his outspokenness and his often-blistering dissents from the bench. Weâll have more information as it becomes available.

good timing, pally

Yepper, or simply refuse to take orders from them.
Scalia’s untimely death during an election year is a gift from heaven for the Democrat party. Obama’s ability to appoint a Liberal to the Supreme Court is secondary in importance to how the Democrats can use the appointment of a black liberal and the subsequent blocking by the Republican Senate to rally the black vote to the polls in November.
A two-fer. Money well spent. Advantage, 0bama.
Actually. If you visited that page, and yes Gosar posted that, but what I was referring to was the little snipe by the asshole under Gosars post on Justice Scalia on the comments.
Sorry....but Abe perverted the constitution on many occasions.
I just found that graphic and embedded quote worthy of greater distribution.
It is ironic isn’t it?
Great graphic.
More like a gift from the lowest levels of Hell.
May the ULTINATE JUDGE OF THE HIGEST COURT JUGGE HIM FAIRLY.
Same here. The wife and I were out most of the day and I just checked Drudge. My wife doesn’t understand why I am so upset about this very bad news for what is left of the Republic and the last vestiges of the Bill of Rights that was holding back our home grown Communist Party (Democrats). We are so screwed with the loss of this good man.
A constitution that depends upon any one man or one group of men, is not a Constitution of civil Government at all. It defies the point of a written Constitution if it must be upheld or ‘defined’ by the very employees it is designed to limit. Such employees might as well be bound by nothing more than tradition.
The only long term security for a Constitutional republic is not to take orders from Federal Employees in black robes. But rather to respect their power to try only the cases and people before them. If they can bring or have brought anyone and everyone before them then there really is no law but that which they choose.
If McConnell fails to stop such an nomony there really wont be much point give the way Democratic appointees and Obama’s appointees in particular tend to vote. The cort will enact its own laws on every issue.
The only bright side is we will be forced into revolution. The republican party wont much matter there at the national level, at the state level it may only matter to the extent it is able to operate in defiance of the Federal oligarchy in black robes.
Amen.
Glenn Fry died. There are no more Eagles. I didn’t cry.
A good friend of mine died this week died. I went to the funeral and didn’t cry.
I didn’t know Scalia personally...but today I cried over his death.
Did Don Henley die too?
I think Henley is still in our world.
But the group is gone. Or maybe I should say...a lot of folks won’t be going to see their “one last tour”.
