As much as I love Cruz as a conservative, there really is a voter rebellion underway and it may be unstoppable. Despite all the denials, the simple truth is the voters really are fed-up and really are up in arms against the establishment.
Trump's message is exactly what the voters are looking for:
Build the wall, enforce the law, deport them all, slap a moratorium on Muslim immigration, bomb the hell out of ISIS, cut the taxes, cut the spending, cut the regulations, cut the government, cut the bad trade deals, cut the political correctness crap, bring back capital, bring back manufacturing, bring back jobs, get the economy back on track, rebuild the military so no one messes with us and make America great again!
It's a winning message.
The rallies are real.
The pent up anger is real.
The rebellion is real!
GOPe RINOs Bush, Rubio, Kasich, et al, stand no chance whatsoever.
We still have hope for conservative Cruz to pull it out, but this is Trump's Rebellion to lose.
Go, Cruz, GO!!
Go, Trump, GO!!
Either way, we win, they lose.
Yup. The establishment is in a full on panic. Their gravy train is about to be derailed.
Just recall whom Romney met with early last week, Ryan. Ryan is another sleaze ball who has to go.
He cajoled the liberal MSM to fund his campaign and you doubt he can get Mexico to build the fence? Please pay attention!
I share your sentiments on this. However, if Jim is right and this is a rebellion being waged via the ballot box, I hope succeeds. Otherwise, a fight is coming one way or the other.
“Conservatives are going to stop being conservative?”
I think that considering the state of our country for the last couple of decades, all traditional titles have been skewed in some way. For me, I’m OK with doing away with the “conservative” tag, and just being “American”.
Go Trump.
A great post, Mr. Robinson. And I would point out that the policy positions of Donald Trump that you listed ARE conservative.
I don’t believe for one minute that Ted Cruz would carry out the mass deportation that our country has been desperately needing for decades. I can’t see him putting the fear of God in our enemies or taken seriously by our allies. He simply does not project leadership qualities. To be honest, he looks more like a comedian than a commander. And his being a lawyer and a politician, makes him even more undesirable as president for many people. Actually, I could see him compromising more than Trump. As he has said before, his greatest weakness is trusting people too much. On the other hand, Trump hasn’t let his liberal friends in New York, change his mind on gun control one bit. And they’ve tried.
Cruz should stay in Congress and help Trump pass some common sense legislation, including repealing Obamacare.
Agreed.
But without hitting the Democrat trial lawyer donors it can’t change.
Tort reform, major issue.
Retire down the size of government another big issue.
Agreed! Both of the grassroots of the Parties are sick of the Establishment
Just.damn.
I really thought FR was full on conservative and we wouldn’t embrace the LGBT, abortion, big gov’t, I’ll take care of everyone (at tax payers expense) candidate that changes with the wind depending on who he’s trying to con.
what the hell.
Bless you, Jim.
We need both of them.
From the back corner pew....... amen
Imagine if you will: Ted Cruz, U.S. Attorney General.
Think about it.
It’s only been about these 2 for me. I’ll pull the lever for either in the general. I feel trump opened up the illegal immigrant issue, along with drudge. So my vote will probably be for trump.
Here! Here! Great points.
I haven't decided yet who I am going to vote for, but I think we could do a lot worse than Donald Trump. It is my belief that he is a delegator and that he will appoint the best people to get the job done if he is elected POTUS.
That said, I have to be honest in pointing out that one of my main concerns has to do with the U.S. Supreme Court nominations that will be made by our next POTUS.
To be perfectly honest, I tend to have more confidence in Cruz on that score....that Cruz will pick reliable conservatives ...even though I do like Trump.
We shall see.
All real Americans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser!
That’s exactly the way I see it too. Thanks!
