Saturday night at the GOP debate in New Hampshire belonged to the executives: the governors and the businessman.
Indeed, if Saturday is any indication of what kind of debater Donald Trump can be, then it's safe to say that it really was a mistake for him to skip the Fox News debate before the Iowa caucus. He may very have won it if he had shown this kind of strength and adeptness just days before Iowans went out to vote.

Ditto!
You fail to understand the strategic thinking here. Cruz got exactly what he neede from the debate. He knew Trump has a lock on first. His goal was to keep Rubio out of second, and thanks to Christie, he got that. No point in taking on Trump. Smart not to.
A question was about waterboarding??
Tell me, how many questions were there about: taxes, the welfare state, crime, drugs, HIV/AIDS, illegitimacy, single parent households?
AMEN!!!
That’s absurd. All the “governors” accomplished tonight was to shore up their RINO credentials. MAYBE it will help them a bit in NH, but will be their death knell in SC.
so damn funny to watch Christie(an ex fed prosecutor) put Rubio in a box knowing he couldn’t get out,, Christie actually telling the audience exactly what Rubio was going to do next and by goodness 2 seconds later there it was.. if that was a trial the defense atty would just jump up to plead guilty and ask for mercy.. and just think of the numbers of the idiot GOPe class that ran to endorse Rubio in the last 5 days..
LOL that was the only part of the debate I was able to see tonight..hearing Marco Rubio do the robot, repeating over and over again “Obama knows what he is doing, etc etc” we already know that, Obama knows what he is doing, he is trying to make America like the rest of the world. Seriously thought I had a stroke and was hearing the same thing over and over again LOL
I don’t know. I caught the rerun. Brett rolled tape of Rubio repeating the same speech with Christie swatting him down each time. Brett asked “ how does he recover” Hume shaking his head didn’t have a positive answer.
AB and Gregory think Cruz will be haunted by this Carlson mess for a while.
Funny , Hamm talking to Brett started talking about how well trump did then abruptly stopped mid sentence. Must have got the message from the control booth.
Honestly, did they watch the same debate? Only Krauthammer thought Rubio's performance was disastrous. Everyone else worked in overdrive to smooth things over.
Brit Hume offered mild criticism, but it looked like he was passing a kidney stone when he did it... it hurt him so badly to passingly acknowledge what should be obvious to anyone who watched the debate. Rubio choked.
I do not know why otherwise savvy Fox loyalists continue to watch the network exclusively.
Fox News is in Rubio’s pocket..They know they wont go anywhere with Jeb so Rubio is their next best thing
I certainly disagree with a lot of Christie’s stances on things, but he is a good guy to have in your corner, just the same. He did us a big favor tonight by taking out Bubble Boy.
Yep!
Yes. Jeb’s expression. So wrapped up in himself. Trump is aware what is going on around him. That moment, not spoken about by many shows character.
Is it your take he’s only shooting for second place from here on out?
That would seem to be the conclusion.
There was n joy in Fauxville, mighty Marco has struck out.
That’s too bad.
Also explains how Trump’s kids vs Jebbys kids turned out. Or am I reading too much into it?
I’m finding CNN not so bad. I’ve actually been watching their late-night program which is a very good one about a chef who goes around the country looking for the American past.
MK was going off script. Trump won folks over. The opening, and the taking down of the studio audience in particular.
