Donald Trump, his aura of invincibility shattered by Iowa caucus voters he once called “stupid,†is throwing a tantrum these days, convinced that Ted Cruz “cheated†and continues to maintain the untenable proposition that in any event he is a not eligible to be President of the United States.
Cruz did not cheat in Iowa. Cruz supporters may have indeed cited to supporters of Dr. Ben Carson CNN news reports and tweets that Carson was skipping New Hampshire and South Carolina, so draw your own conclusions, but where were the Carson president captains to shepherd their flock?

Anytime a pundit claims a certain decision says "whatever," they are wrong. The reality of what the courts are doing is above the heads of public, so the public is fed some BS that serves the larger purpose of painting a false reality and preventing a restive public.
I know this because I look at the court filings and so forth, and never, not once in hundreds of times, was the press story correct.

However, you seem to be saying that Ted Cruz is not a natural born citizen, but you also said: "Ted will make a fabulous Senate Majority Leader."
Is that belief in conflict with itself, given your understanding and the current reality of "Ted Cruz for President"?
If so, how to you rationalize around that conflict to support that belief?
There is no NBC requirement for any position in the government except the Presidency.
Ted’s definitely a citizen. That’s all that’s required.
PS - Obama is not NBC, even if he was born in Honolulu. His daddy was the very definition of a hostile alien.

Fwiw, when I first "met" Ted Cruz, when he was just a wannabe Senator to help get elected, I saw him as The Man!
Ted Cruz was the "Anti-obama" who could undo the obama damage and help to set the upside-down world right-side up again.

Rationalizing it with strained reasoning (”I’m natural born cuz my mom was an American”) means he’s willing to bend the rules to get where he’s going.
He’s only human.
It would have been better if he had said, “I am a Senator. Imagine that - a son of a Cuban refugee, penniless and pursued by brutal Communists - and here I am a Senator from the State of Texas. Isn’t that incredible?” and let it go at that.

It's helpful for choosing correctly when one comes to a crossroads and is facing a "Heaven's choice/Devil's bargain" situation Fate is so very good at.
God fave us free will and never subverts it, but He also tests us as a good Father does with his children.
In a crossroads situation, He gives us the right option in among other options that Satan gets to choose specifically for us.
The Father then delights when we choose wisely!
Or Satan does and the Father is there to forgive us and help us learn how not to repeat our mistake(s).
To me, Fate uniquely set Ted Cruz up at this time and place for something amazing, but also something amazingly challenging to/for many aspects of the inner Ted.
Ted could have chosen to go through hell to save US and he would have earned a hero's gold star, pedestal and place in our history.
Unfortunately, it appears as though Ted or perhaps his ego chose a different path: the obama shortcut.
Oh well...there will be more crossroads for Ted, just like for all of God's kids.
I just hope that he and we always follow the shoulder angel's crossroads directions, instead of the shoulder devil's.

However, not nearly as bad as violating the oaths I've taken regarding my upholding and defending the Constitution.
That is what I think I would be doing by supporting a candidate who isn't eligible to be POTUS.

One other observation - if we allow NBC to be foriegn born to only 1 US citizen parent.
This would have made Winston Churchill Eligible to be POTUS as his mother was a US citizen at time of his birth in England.

Decisions are not made in a box. (well should not be made as so) There are always unintended consequences. One must think in a more lineal term. How does this idea impact a longer term?? How will immigration handle this?? I’m not anti-immigration. I’m not anti-cruz. I usually Lurk, therefore I am... But this is getting out of hand. Either we have Laws, or , well, we don’t.

There is SIGNIFICANT evidence to indicate that the “Founders Intention of “Natural Born Citizen†was to be defined as A child born in the USA to parents who where US Citizens.
Here are significant signs
1. Alexander Hamilton original draft of article indicated that anyone “born a citizen†was eligible - this was changed to only “Natural Born Citizensâ€
2. It is well known that the founders used the book from Emerich de Vattel “Law of Nationsâ€. There is precedence in using this book to understand the founders intentions. In this book NBC is defined as born on sovereign soil to parents who are citizens
3. The author of the 14th amendment which defined Naturalization “John Bingham†defined in his congressional notes “Natural Born Citizen†in his definition he defines NBC as a child born on sovereign soil to 2 parent citizens
4. There are several SCOTUS cases which mention Natural Born Citizen each of these cases “reaffirms†child born on sovriegn soil with 2 parent citizens
In Perkins v. Elg (1939), the Court regarded Miss Elg as a natural born citizen. She was born in the US. Her father was a naturalized US citizen. Her mother was a US citizen by marriage.
In Kwock Jan Fat v. White (1920), the Court referred to the plaintiff as a natural born citizen. He was born in the US. His father was a native-born US citizen. His mother was a US citizen by marriage.
In U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark (1898), Justice Gray cited an article, by Horace Binney, which used the term “natural born†in reference to the US-born child of a citizen but not the US-born child of an alien. In Binney’s opinion, both children were US citizens, but only the child of a citizen was “natural bornâ€Â.
In Minor v. Happersett (1874), the Supreme Court described two classes of children. Each member of the first class was born in the US, of US-citizen parents. All other US-born children belonged to the second class. The Court used the term “natural born citizen†only in reference to the first class. The Court doubted whether members of the second class were even citizens, let alone natural born citizens.

1. Founders Intent - It is clear that the founders intent was child born on US soil to two US Citizens
2. Evolving Constitution - we should allow the constitution to evolve for the times.

Finally, i would ask you to use “common senseâ€. If you were a founding father would you risk a foreign born child to only 1 naturalized citizen to be eligible for POTUS.
If you would , you would open the door to a child born in Iran to a naturalized student who returned to Iran only to marry a Iranian Citizen who had a child. The child need only return to the USA @ 30 , reside in the USA for 14 years and run for POTUS @ 44. Do you think the founders who have wanted this situation.
Forget the candidates at the moment and focus on the preservation of the constitution. We have seen 1 President who was not NBC destroy our country (Obama). Let us not open the door for a future president who will make the USA a Muslim Nation.
