but here are several great resources which make a compelling case for our founders intentions on NBC being born in USA to 2 citizen parents

There is SIGNIFICANT evidence to indicate that the “Founders Intention of “Natural Born Citizen†was to be defined as A child born in the USA to parents who where US Citizens.
Here are significant signs
1. Alexander Hamilton original draft of article indicated that anyone “born a citizen†was eligible - this was changed to only “Natural Born Citizensâ€
2. It is well known that the founders used the book from Emerich de Vattel “Law of Nationsâ€. There is precedence in using this book to understand the founders intentions. In this book NBC is defined as born on sovereign soil to parents who are citizens
3. The author of the 14th amendment which defined Naturalization “John Bingham†defined in his congressional notes “Natural Born Citizen†in his definition he defines NBC as a child born on sovereign soil to 2 parent citizens
4. There are several SCOTUS cases which mention Natural Born Citizen each of these cases “reaffirms†child born on sovriegn soil with 2 parent citizens
In Perkins v. Elg (1939), the Court regarded Miss Elg as a natural born citizen. She was born in the US. Her father was a naturalized US citizen. Her mother was a US citizen by marriage.
In Kwock Jan Fat v. White (1920), the Court referred to the plaintiff as a natural born citizen. He was born in the US. His father was a native-born US citizen. His mother was a US citizen by marriage.
In U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark (1898), Justice Gray cited an article, by Horace Binney, which used the term “natural born†in reference to the US-born child of a citizen but not the US-born child of an alien. In Binney’s opinion, both children were US citizens, but only the child of a citizen was “natural bornâ€Â.
In Minor v. Happersett (1874), the Supreme Court described two classes of children. Each member of the first class was born in the US, of US-citizen parents. All other US-born children belonged to the second class. The Court used the term “natural born citizen†only in reference to the first class. The Court doubted whether members of the second class were even citizens, let alone natural born citizens.
…it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first. (Minor v. Happersett, 1874)

Therefore there are 2 perspectives you can take
1. Founders Intent - It is clear that the founders intent was child born on US soil to two US Citizens
2. Evolving Constitution - we should allow the constitution to evolve for the times.
ironically , Ted Cruz supports 1. Founders Intent.
Finally, i would ask you to use “common senseâ€. If you were a founding father would you risk a foreign born child to only 1 naturalized citizen to be eligible for POTUS.
If you would , you would open the door to a child born in Iran to a naturalized student who returned to Iran only to marry a Iranian Citizen who had a child. The child need only return to the USA @ 30 , reside in the USA for 14 years and run for POTUS @ 44. Do you think the founders who have wanted this situation.
Forget the candidates at the moment and focus on the preservation of the constitution. We have seen 1 President who was not NBC destroy our country (Obama). Let us not open the door for a future president who will make the USA a Muslim Nation.
