Republican operatives from inside and outside New Hampshire agree: Sen. Ted Cruz is all but doomed to finish below the top tier in the Granite State.
The winning coalition Cruz put together in Iowa won't work in New Hampshire, they say, pointing to the fact New Hampshire has the second-lowest rate of church attendance in the country. So the edge that Cruz had among evangelicals isn't particularly applicable there.
"I would advise Cruz to skip New Hampshire and go to South Carolina. I believe you shouldn't compete anywhere where it's not a favorable battlefield to win," said Stuart Stevens, a top adviser to Mitt Romney's 2012 campaign.

Yep and every answer will start with N-N-No-NO, or B-B-B—But
All those who were on life support until NH, when they should have put Paul or even Fiorina instead to allow for a real exchange of ideas, in the hope of resurrecting some East Coast lib besides Trump and keep them alive to attack Cruz for you!
bump
Still, Ted Cruz will do better than these poll numbers suggest
“As usual Ted Cruz will exceed expectation”
Hard to not exceed expectations with 14.
“As usual Ted Cruz will exceed expectation, and most likely place in the top two.”
Well Cruz exceeded my expectations in Iowa. I expected him to actually be a “principled” conservative. We’ve been beat over the head with how “principled” he was, in fact we’ve been told over and over he was THE ONLY principled one in the race.
So the unprincipled status quo political hack gutter politics Team Ted used really did exceed my expectations.
I think Trump was actually stunned at how dirty it was, on a caucus night no less.
Democrats in Texas are more conservative than republicans in New Hampshire. We’ll just add the delegates until the deep South / Texas.
It’s funny. Many here at work spoke of supporting Trump if he made it through to the nomination. This was a couple of months ago.
Today, we had a similar conversation. None..none of them said they’d support Trump. Main reason folks gave? His mouth and childish antics.
Small sampling I know, but I really believe the more Trump opens his mouth and insults people....it’s beginning to wear on folks.
Hope springs eternal, “eh” (a little Canadian lingo for you!)
The big question- Will Cruz break 10% in the first non-Canadian primary?
There are conservative Christians there.
If Cruz gets nominated, we lose the White House again. Is that what you want?
Actually, I know a couple of them that do as well!
I always assumed Cruz would no better than 3rd in NH the question how much will the trumper tantrum hurt Donnie, will the rest of the GOPe candidates collapse enough to give the victory to Rubio, if Rubio wins Donnie temper is finished.
On Kennedy’s panel yesterday (their a bunch of libertarians) they think Trump’s noninterventionist platform will draw former Rand support. Honestly I can’t see Cruz or Rubio getting much since as sitting senators are seen part of the problem. Cruz televangelist style, and Rubio’s hawkish talk are turns offs for that demo.
I thought he did pretty well when insulted an illegal alien plant who tried to tell him “Illegal Aliens are the backbone of the nation” and told her to get out.
Of course, same applies to China. The question is what percentage of the population are they.
Wrong. Poll numbers mean nothing from this point forward.
Delegate totals will dictate debate lectern placement in all future debates.
Do you actually think before you post? Or do you just reflexively post your inane blather?
God told Gideon: “300”
And Trump is going the crush Cruz in South Carolina a few days later.
Typical Cruz crew,,write off part of the American electorate then ask for their votes later.
Hillarious!
Isn’t NH a winner take all state in the primaries?
Enjoy your 1 delegate lead while it lasts Cruzers.
Will see. Trump had better win NH or his campaign will begin to unwind.
