In a strongly worded editorial on Thursday, The Des Moines Register called on the Iowa Democratic Party to move quickly to prove that Monday's results are correct.
The piece titled "Editorial: Something smells in the Democratic Party," starts out: "Once again the world is laughing at Iowa."
It gets sharper from there.

These were undoubtedly innocent mistakes ... if any ... cause Democrats never cheat!

Didn’t it take weeks for Iowa to get results 4 years ago? No more caucus crap. Iowa needs to come into the 21st century!

I know it is cliche... I’m going to take license to say so, given I’m not one to use it (don’t think i ever have):
What difference at this point does it make?

Maybe they should require voter ids in order to vote? Oh wait....

You know, they say Hillary gave a victory speech before the results were in as well besides the 6 coin flips all going to HRC. Sanders should really be harping on this. The Republican candidates are at warfare with each other and this in the Democratic caucuses seems to be the real joke.

Des Moines register?
Who do they think they are? No

How quaint of The Register. Expecting transparency.

Requires several volumes and would take up considerable space on a bookshelf.

About two weeks as I recall for Santorum to be declared winner over Romney. But damage had already been done.

This may be proof that Hillary Clinton isn’t as popular as people think.

You had ONE job, Iowa.
You screwed it up for the GOP in 2012. And to prove you are incompetent in a bipartisan way, you screwed it up for the Dems in 2016. That a state with such a small population cannot come up with a proper count, in a timely manner, ONCE EVERY FOUR YEARS, is reason enough for this Iowa-first nonsense to end.
Once and for all.

Well said, The Republicans War with each other are at the Civil War equivalent of the Battle of Chancellorsville.
It is going to get a lot worse before it gets any better.

The Iowa caucus probably isn't much worse than a primary as far as being proof against actual count manipulation. I do believe that the caucus system is a truly bad setup in that it is very easy to manipulate the entire process in other ways, particularly through intimidation both subtle and not so subtle.

Somebody asked Hillary what kind of underwear she wears. “Depends”, she says.
