Exactly my point. My father was of Reagan’s generation; in fact, my Dad was born only 6 months later, in 1911. Generally, men back then had better manners and more self-control of their impulses. It was just instilled in them, by their parents. And it’s not something that modern folks can’t learn, even if they are Trump’s age.

Those men probably let fly a "cuss word" in the company of other men, or when they were alone; however, NEVER in the company of ladies nor children.

You can thank the damned RED DIAPER BABIES, who spear headed America's cultural decline, in the early '60s...taking over the college campuses. The "FREE SPEECH MOVEMENT" was begun at BERKLEY, IN 1964. That took a while to cross the nation, but it did and then came the stupid Drugs, Sex, and anti-American garbage in '68.

Adults and children still were clinging to traditional manners, which the SDSers, WEATHER UNDERGROUND types, and the tragically STUPID kids who followed men, who were far closer to being 40 than 25, telling them : "DON'T TRUST ANYONE OVER 30" !

But lets face it....that was all a very long time ago and Trump saying "BOMB THE SHIT OUTTA THEM" is NOT as shocking as Rhett Butler telling Scarlet :"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" was in '39 !

Well, I do. I am 72 and never, ever used any word like that. I will never forget my high school senior English teacher telling us if we could not think of another word, it showed our low iq. My parents, grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins never used them either. The people my age never used them. Oh, I know I grew up in a different era. I have seen small kids “cuss” like a sailor. I take that back. When I was just a toddler, we had chickens. Every once and a while, one would escape their yard and chicken house. I remember one day, one got out and pooped on the front porch. I was the cleaner upper. A minister was there when I had that duty. I told my mom. “Why do I have to clean up this mess. That chicken just “sh.....” all over this porch.” My parents never figured out where I learned that and I had no clue. That was the only time! : ). I still have to laugh about my saying that as a toddler and in front of a minister.

I quit listening to Rush about 13 years ago. I could not take all the yelling. My bp would go way up. I think that was about the same time I quit watching Fox. I decided I did not need anyone telling me what to think.
