Thank you Donald Trump for telling the truth with courage. When others feared being called names by the politically correct, Trump got out there and said in no uncertain terms that HE WOULD BUILD A WALL! This is one of the major reasons why so many people love him. Millions of Americans have been harmed by illegal immigration and others have learned about it and sought to get the message out over the years only to be suppressed and smothered by the politically correct establishment.
Why is there a huge heroin problem in this country today? Mexico. Most of the drugs are now coming through Mexico. Mexican brown heroin can be bought for as little as $5 a bag. People all over this country are being addicted to heroin and other drugs which are flooding the country. Many young people have died because of this. I am sure that many Freepers have someone close to them who have been victims of heroin. This is happening in the big cities, small cities and small towns. There is no place that you can get away from it. I read the obituaries and I am seeing many young people who have died. Often it only says that they have died suddenly. Police and EMTs are having a hard time keeping up with this.
Most of the bigger dealers are from Mexico or Central America. Most are illegal aliens. Yet when Trump brought up that Mexico gave us their murderers and rapists there was such an uproar from the usual sanctimonious politically correct jackals. There have been millions of illegal aliens coming into our country during the past 20 years. Were they all Sunday school teachers? When millions come into our country unvetted, of course there will be many murderers, rapists, drug dealers and all descriptions of criminals. But the lying hippocrites tried to intimidate Trump and shut him up. That whole politician/ media gang has to go. They have blood on their hands because they know of what illegal immigration has been doing to our country and yet they cover it up because of votes, money or ideology.
Screwy. This is what passes for logic? LOL
No, facts straight from your overlords mouth. He wants to expand ethanol. He doesn’t understand emminent domain as intended. He says he’ll make deals with the establishment.
Why make deals? I thought you guys told me he was now the 2nd coming of Reagan in conservatism. He would have enough conservative backing in Congress to pass anything and really get this overblown goverment under control.
He’ll do nothing of the sort “dealing” with liberals. Dealing for what? Just DO IT. Isn’t that the way to “make it great and get it done and it will be huge. I’ll be the greatest for puppies and kittens...blah, blah, blah”
I love that, thanks!
Go Trump!
One more happy Cuz supporter heard from.
The sanctuary cities began around the 1980s. Reagan tried to put a stop to it. This has been going on for a generation and all we got from Washington and the media was double talk but most of the time they just ignored it. When the people spoke up they were called...xenophobes, racists, bigots yadayadayada. Trump supporters really understand the urgency of this problem. It has been called an existential problem which it is. America will never be the same if this is not stopped. Good for Trump for recognizing the urgency of this problem.
I guess it was like this in 2012 and 2008 around here, but I don't remember it being such a catfight among the FReepers. Maybe I just block stuff like that out.
You and I and most (if not all) of the folks on this excellent forum agree about the horrible tragedy of heroin addiction, and from where most of this poison crosses our alleged border.
Where we have an issue is this. I do not believe that super salesman Mister Trump believes what he says. He knows what we are longing to hear from our GOP congresshumans, and candidates, and he is canny enough to say just what we need to hear.
And, we want to hear it so badly, many of us (all fine Conservative folks) will believe it.
I do not trust Mister Trump, and I do not believe him.
He is an expert at seizing important-yet-intentionally-neglected issues, and making up statements that resonate with you and me.
All that said, I do like what you wrote.
.
Well who did you vote for Hoss, Kerry or Gore?
Maybe he was seeing something that we did not see back then. I was once a Democrat a long time ago. Then I changed to Republican and for many years I believed that they would save the country. It took me many years to catch on to the Republicans game but I have lived and learned, so haven’t many on Free Republic. Live and learn and that means swallowing your pride once in a while.
There are many things that need to be fixed but right now we have to pull out the Republican party and the Democrat party by the roots. Any objection to that?
Four months, you never noticed.
Two hours and you’re making posts to me to have reason.
But I’m not the issue here Chuck. My response was to your comment resulting in it’s total destruction.
From http://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-business-philosophy-from-the-art-of-the-deal-2015-6. Emphasis is mine:
"I never get too attached to one deal or one approach," Trump writes. "For starters, I keep a lot of balls in the air, because most deals fall out, no matter how promising they seem at first. In addition, once I've made a deal, I always come up with at least a half dozen approaches to making it work, because anything can happen, even to the best-laid plans."Trump says he's not afraid to blur reality to utilize leverage. "When the board of Holiday Inn was considering whether to enter into a partnership with me in Atlantic City, they were attracted to my site because they believed my construction was farther along than that of any other potential partner."
"In reality," he writes, "I wasn't that far along, but I did everything I could, short of going to work at the site myself, to assure them that my casino was practically finished. My leverage came from confirming an impression they were already predisposed to believe."
"I play to people's fantasies," he writes. "People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do. That's why a little hyperbole never hurts. People want to believe that something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular."
And what Trump said about a failed deal:
I always go into the deal anticipating the worst," he writes. "If you plan for the worst - if you can live with the worst - the good will always take care of itself.""The only time in my life I didn't follow that rule was with the USFL [the defunct United States Football League]. I bought a losing team in a losing league on a long shot. It almost worked, through our antitrust suit, but when it didn't, I had no fallback. The point is that you can't be too greedy."
Get into deals that you can afford to recover from if things go poorly, and know when the opportunity cost for making a small deal is lower than had you not made a deal at all.
So if he lives what he says in and about The Art of the Deal, he must have a fallback for the wall deal - he's just not telling you what it is. And, he admits to overselling and hyping to close the deal.
And finally, I leave you with this:
"You can't con people, at least not for long," Trump writes. "You can create excitement, you can do wonderful promotion and get all kinds of press, and you can throw in a little hyperbole. But if you can't deliver the goods, people will eventually catch on"
He may be playing you, and you may not catch on until he is in the White House, but what good will it do to find out then? After all, the deal for your vote will be long since closed by that point...
It just freaks me out how people here will turn on each other over politics, just like any family will when one side supports the Demoturds and the other goes for the Republicrats.
Purty sure we all have the same values and love of America, no sense in tearing each other apart. If I hear one more person around here say "no way I would ever consider voting for Trump/Cruz/Whoever" I will fart.
Vote for my candidate or I will shoot this dog:
Oh take your fiber pills and go to bed.
