Is the power of the White House enough to get Pink Floyd back together for one more concert?
The obvious answer to that question is "almost definitely not," but that isn't going to stop Republican presidential hopeful John Kasich from doing his level best to reunite the dormant group if he ends up winning the 2016 election. Kasich made his unexpected campaign pledge during a Feb. 1 interview with CNN...
"...if I'm president," he decreed, "I am going to...try to reunite Pink Floyd..." First on Kasich's wish list for the reunion set: "Money," from 1973's Dark Side of the Moon.

Good find. There is so little well done fully live performance anymore. Everything seems produced in clips assembled on a computer. It’s as if nobody can actually perform anymore.
Except Greg Brown.

Heh heh, he should go to Hillary and tell her, “One of these days, I’m going to cut you in tiny little pieces.”

"Animals" is HIGHLY underrated - perhaps due to the wide use of acoustic guitars vs the other PF albums.
I think it's more due to all of the main songs being 15-20 minutes long which turns radio stations off to playing it.
I saw a tribute band do "Animals" start to finish and I'd say half the audience had no idea what was going on.
The thing about Floyd though is that you really need to be an aficionado of listening to an entire album start to finish rather than picking out singles.

"...if I'm president," he decreed, "I am going to...try to reunite Pink Floyd..." Lots of ellipses in there ... I get the impression the author is trying to BS me.

At the very least, PF had a sense of humor with their song titles...although at the time they were probably stoned out of their mind and thought the title was a serious intellectual statement.

I don’t care about that.
They can think whatever they want, I’m not a fan of Pink Floyd for their politics.

He is a certified drug abusing anti-Semitic musician who wrote and played great music. I’ve never felt his songs we re anti-Semitic but I know he was.
Germany s Wagner classical music is great too.
