Donald Trump just accused Ted Cruz of stealing the Iowa caucuses over the Cruz campaign's admission that it helped spread a rumor that Ben Carson was dropping out of the race:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Ted Cruz didn't win Iowa, he stole it. That is why all of the polls were so wrong and why he got far more votes than anticipated. Bad!

--SNIP--

Update 2. Oh boy:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified. 9:28 AM - 3 Feb 2016

There was an interesting video on Free Republic with a computer programmer testifying before a Panel or Court about a program he was paid to create to ensure a certain candidate in Florida (think the candidate was named Feeney) win an election. The computer expert thought he was doing it to prevent voter fraud, and was stunned it was to ensure voter fraud. He said it is simple to do, but detecting it is much harder. It was asked if this would only affect certain tampered voting machines, but he said all the voting machines would react in unison to the one program.

I was ready to jump from Cruz to Trump. But some of this is just paranoid. I think we need a long campaign to weed out who is the nutter.

This Carson thing is laughable, and he should be should be held accountable for the optics of getting the hell out of town the night of a Caucus..

Sounds like Gentle Ben brought knives to a gun fight.

If Trump had done that, would you be say it was just a big ok whoopsie?

Hey, Trump was telling outright lies abut Ted (saying he might not even be an American citizen), and you didn't hear me saying his results should nullified. If Trump reported a breaking news story about Ted that was wrong, I'd be mad, but I'd be mad at CNN, not at Trump. A campaign is going to use stories in the news that they think will help their campaign. That is just the way the game is played. Unless they are making up false stories and feeding them to the media, there is not much anyone can do about the stories the media publishes.

Trump should have just hired Steve Harvey to announce him as the winner.

So if you EVER repeat a news story, and it turns out that the news story was incorrectly reported, then you are a liar?

Other than that tweet from Conrad Close, is there any other evidence that the Rubio campaign was “pushing the narrative hard that Carson is dropping out”?

I haven’t heard another word about Rubio and this incident.
Did his people spread the false information at caucus venues as Cruz workers did?

JLAGRAYFOX is correct. The facts are laid out before you by Cruz’s “win” in Iowa. Put aside the voter tampering, Cruz barely won. The only demo he gets in the Evangelical and there’s not enough of it to carry him all the way to the nomination.

“Ted Cruz cannot come close to winning a general election ...”

Trumpbots keep saying that. But the TRUTH is that Trump’s unfavorables are much higher than Cruz’s. And head-to-head with Hillary, polls show Cruz doing much better.

If we want to lose the general election, we’ll nominate Trump in the primaries.

My BS meter just collapsed in on itself and formed a black hole hearing that.

>>Cruz is a seedy looking preacher, snake-fondling Canadian Creep<<

Wow! That’s pretty hard.

Perhaps you need to turn off the television for a spell and take a break from all this. Looks like it’s getting to you.

Yep, me too.

Unfortuately I fear he will take Cruz down with him and hand Rubio the nomination.

But it’s a good tactic to put him on the defensive.

<><><><

You think Cruz is on the defensive?

If that’s what you call Trump spewing butt hurt tweets, well so be it.

Controlling the news cycle looking like a whiner is nothing like controlling the news cycle looking like a leader.

And Trump is whining.

I can’t disagree with your assessment. This hasn’t felt like America for some time now. But I do believe in miracles, and perhaps there will be one more for us.

Gotta love the child-like naiveté of Cruz people.

Hint: McCain had high favorability numbers too. Know why?

So then if Cruz can't win because in your opinion he can only get evangelicals (which remains to be seen), and Trump can't win because 60% of the population dislikes him, the I guess we should all throw our support to Rubio, right?

**Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified. 9:28 AM - 3 Feb 2016**

Was what Cruz did unethical? Especially the rumors against Carson and Trump?

We took him seriously because we are tired of the same ole, same ole politician lying ass BS. But if it's Cruz, it appears that we haven't changed a thing. It will be business as usual. I do not hear the fat lady singing yet. Just the Cruzys doing what Crazies do.

The Tweet that the OP to this thread conveniently omitted.

Trump is not going to let Cruz get away with it without being called on it.
