LOL, spanked by the mod.
About time.
This is a mortal political disaster for Cruz. This was an intentional lie contrary to the real Christian standard. I am deeply offended. This changes by view on Cruz. Bad Very bad.
He must be staying in since he’s not going for the required rant against Trump on his way out the door.
Cruz is a thug!!! He send out a mailer which was mind boggling telling old people that they were accused of voter “VIOLATIONS!!!” It was sneaked out on the last day and covered by the caucas news but this man is not what he appears.
You have always hated Cruz and there was nothing wrong with Cruz supporters making sure that Carson supporters knew about the news breaking on CNN that Carson was leaving the campaign to go home to Florida. Sorry, but there is absolutely no scandal here just sour grapes.
He needs to blame his campaign staff for even THINKING that leaking he was going straight home to Florida was a good idea.
Amateurs.
7:03pm is when CArson’s informal advisor tweeted that the media reports were lies. Then at 7:11 he said what Carson’s plans were.
CNN didn’t correct the lie until much later. at http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/carson-other-campaigns-sabotaged-us-dirty-tricks it shows Steve King’s tweet, at 7:20pm.
That site also names some locations where the announcement was made: Johnston (Polk County), Iowa State University (Ames, IA, in Story County), Waterloo (Black Hawk County), and Boone (Boone County, very close to Story County).
Another article named the counties which Marco Rubio won: Dallas, Polk, Story, Johnson, and Scott. About the same time as CNN came out with the false tweet that Carson would not be campaigning for the next 2 or 3 primaries, Rubio’s people started saying how they were going to do a lot better than anybody expected. And in at least some of the places where CNN’s lie was announced by Cruz’s people, he did...
I suspect that CNN and the GOPe are trying to help Rubio, to bring down both Cruz and Trump (whose supporters are at each other’s throats over this) and force a brokered convention, as GOPe people have been guaranteeing would happen.
Really makes me think less of Ben. Why would he blame Cruz? Trump is the one who called Iowa voters stupid for supporting Carson and also said Carson had mental problems.
Get over it.....
If you realy want a good president...
send money to Ted Cruz
do it now.
well said.
Did you see the screen grab in McGruff’s post? It was a story carried on CNN.
Did Ted Cruz give the story to CNN? WTH?
Despicable lie. They knew it wasn’t true.. His wife was giving a speech at a caucus!!! They tried to stop Carson supports from speaking!!!Unbelievable fro a purported Christian. Terrible.
See #29
Can't believe his team confirmed he was going back to Florida for fresh clothes.......as if Iowa and NH don't have dry cleaners......so Carson himself left the door open for whatever followed with that dumb reasoning. Mu gosh you'd think his ad visors would see how lame that is.
You are right. Cruz needs to drop out for several reasons.
A candidate just doesn't issue a statement about taking a rest; right before voting starts.
We all agree he is a nice guy; but he isn't anywhere fit to be President.
***”Carson said he was taking time off to go home. We simply repeated what he said,” Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier said Monday. “Our email simply stated the facts.”
When asked what the “big announcement” mentioned in the email referred to, Frazier did not respond.”

Stay classy, Ted.
How very Evangelical of him.
Or should I say Dominionist?
Look at my recent posts, at http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/by:butterdezillion/index?brevity=full;tab=comments , to see why I think this was sabotage set up between Robio’s people, the GOPe, and CNN.
Carson’s people put out a statement, apparently around 7:03pm, correcting the CNN lie. Do we know when CNN corrected it? The critical time period would have been right before the caucuses, and there was a CNN report at 6:45.
