The Carson camp claimed Cruz's team spread false rumors at caucus sites that Carson had dropped out.
Ben Carson was incensed as the results of Monday night's Iowa caucuses rolled in, accusing the winner of spreading falsehoods about him at caucus sites.

I only found out today when I looked at Steve King's apology tweet. Although Twitter said it was 16m (16 minutes) old, when I hovered my mouse over the 16m, it showed me a time that was 2 hours and 16 minutes ago.
So, I went into my Twitter settings (in the menu on my profile pic in the upper right corner) and changed it from Pacific to Central.
When did CNN correct their report?
If I can believe what I'm seeing at https://twitter.com/moody, less than one minute after the first one, @Moody tweeted "Ben Carson's campaign tells me he plans to stay in the race beyond Iowa no matter what the results are tonight." That seems impossible but, it could be that he was speaking his tweets into his phone and, immediately after the first one, a Carson staffer standing next to him felt compelled to clarify.
Two minutes later, at 6:45, someone responded "@moody At some point, you have to define what 'stay in the race' means." (In other words, 'stay in the race' does not eliminate the possibility of a 'suspended' campaign.)
So, Moody's next tweet, at 7:30, was "Folks, Ben Carson is just making a brief stop at home in FL tonight and campaign says he'll be back on the campaign trail by Wednesday."
He did not call him a child molester. He compared him to a child molester. Thatâs Trumpâs m.o.

I see what you did there.
On a thread discussing the poor treatment of Mr. Carson at the hands of the shady and devious Cruz campaign where ethics issues are beginning to smell up the joint, you have decided to desperately drag out a comment that YOU like to think creates a negative inference upon Carson at the hand of Mr. Trump, to sanitize Cruz’s poor behaviour.
Well, good luck with that. The aggrieved does not agree with you. It seems Mr. Carson thinks that the Cruz’ underhanded campaign tactics cost his campaign some very real votes. The gravity of this Cruz’ misdeeds far exceeds anything allegedly perpetrated by Mr. Trump.
Why say that Carson would go to the prayer breakfast on Thursday? Taken all together it seems like it was saying that Carson was not going to NH and SC at all but would be going to a prayer breakfast next Thursday.
I don’t know the handle of the advisor that was cited in the article I read. It’s too hard to get back to the sites I’ve looked at today and to be truthful, nobody really cares anyway. I’ve stayed away from all the campaign stuff and wasting time on this today reminds me of why I stay away. I hate politics. It makes jerks out of otherwise-decent people. People will believe what they want to believe anyway so the truth doesn’t seem to matter any more.
I regret taking any time on this. It’s just reinforced how ugly humanity really is. I hate politics.
That 520 is west coast time. The tweet was sent at 720ct
If Carson can’t handle a simple head fake from Cruz... then he’s in no position to be running against Hillary.
‘Nuff said.
Head fake? How about flat out lie. If that is the path Cruz will take to the Presidency, he’s no better than Hillary.
Trot over to New Hampshire and drop that remark. Twitter has been going off against Cruz. Word gets around. The word is out. “Watch your ballot, watch your back, and if Cruz’ lips are moving, he’s lying, again.”
Now on to the "outrage". I find that to be more of Carson's tendency to whine. How many times has he complained about not getting to talk enough during campaigns. So he came in 4th place and a very weak 4th at that then sends out a message that was anything but "It's just a flesh wound! lets keep fighting".
People caucused knowing they were going to be involved for nearly 3 hours. That's a much bigger commitment than simply voting. Those who were decided were not going to change their vote based on a rumor.
So about that rumor. How do they envision that rumor was spread? Cruz stood in front of 3500 people minutes before the vote and certainly didn't say anything about Carson dropping out. Those 3500 people had very little idea who the people standing next to them were voting for. So there was no ear to ear whisper campaign going on. It is really a whiny complaint that has no meaning in practical application.
This and the mailets will not serve Ted well going forward.
The biggest liar won the whose most Godly contest
So true.
Too soon? ;)
