Rep. Steve King Says He 'Knows Things' About Trump Endorsements
The Daily Caller ^ | January 31, 2016 | Kerry Picket

AMES, Iowa - Rep. Steve King , an Iowa Republican and Ted Cruz supporter, says Donald Trump bought his endorsements. Trump recently received high profile endorsements from Maricopa County Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, and Liberty University president Jerry Falwell, Jr.

King reiterated his statement about the endorsements to the Daily Caller on Saturday during a Cruz rally at the Gateway Hotel and stressed that he "knows things."

"He has, from a regular person's perspective, unlimited resources and he's willing to use whatever access he has in order to get the endorsements that he wants," King explained.

"Among those are the assets that we would naturally think of, including the attraction that might be for, oh who knows, a reality TV show, a job in the Trump machine," he said.

King added: "There's fame and fortune, and there's also the fear factor of retribution, which Donald Trump has not been shy about delivering against people. So all of that affects a person's judgment under those circumstances."

The conservative Iowa congressman would not get specific, but would only say, "I know things, but I'm saying what is appropriate, so that people will know enough, and I'm wanting to keep this on as high a plane as I can, but I don't think my conscience can allow me from not saying anything."

You want to compare “IQ” to “HONESTY?”

That reminds me of Donald Trump being pro-life if the child grows up to be “incredible.”

Rep King....you are a great guy, but being Captain Obvious doesn't suit you well. Anyone with a brain knows this. It's all about the Art of the Deal. Trump wrote that book.....,ask him.

Ted Cruz was Canadian just over a year ago. Cruz was born in Canada. He may very well have had a Canadian passport. You aren't too bright are you?

Oh please. You know, there is a difference between avid advocacy FOR a candidate and irrational animosity against a candidate. You should try some of that positive stuff for Cruz; it would be much better for him.

I like him and would vote for him if he makes the nomination. I daresay you’d never consider the same thing if Trump is the nominee.

Don’t bother to weasel word an answer on that - I know you won’t conclusively say it.

Reminds me of Harry Reid saying Romney did not pay his taxes. I think it is a sign he knows Cruz is behind.

My question to you is why didn’t Trump turn birther BEFORE he said TED CRUZ WAS ELIGIBLE TO RUN.

Could it be because Cruz was doing well in the polls?

Sorry, but I won’t be watching any birther videos. It’s extremely boring to me.

I figured the Donald buying/bribing his way through the campaign goes without saying.

He's bragged about buying political favors from Hillary in the past. That's "good business", remember?

i got to tell you there is nothing pure about Cruz supporters... It seems daily they crowd around every juicy sex story about Trump they can find. And if the story is not juicy enough, why is plain amazing how the stories get juicier.. Personally I do not get interested in other people’s sex lives...

But carry on... It sure has been enlightening just how close Cruz and his supporters mimic those dastardly New York values.

NO. Canada claimed him but Ted Cruz was an American citizen at birth.

Just because Ted Cruz politely (and officially) said, "no thanks" to Canada's law, it in no way changes Cruz's legal status and eligibility to run for President of the United States.

Why do you say others are not smart when it is YOU that is........ Well, I’ll be nicer than you, and just say you are uninformed.
