Rep. Steve King Says He 'Knows Things' About Trump Endorsements
The Daily Caller ^ | January 31, 2016 | Kerry Picket

Posted on 02/01/2016 12:52:20 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

AMES, Iowa - Rep. Steve King , an Iowa Republican and Ted Cruz supporter, says Donald Trump bought his endorsements. Trump recently received high profile endorsements from Maricopa County Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, and Liberty University president Jerry Falwell, Jr.

King reiterated his statement about the endorsements to the Daily Caller on Saturday during a Cruz rally at the Gateway Hotel and stressed that he "knows things."

"He has, from a regular person's perspective, unlimited resources and he's willing to use whatever access he has in order to get the endorsements that he wants," King explained.

"Among those are the assets that we would naturally think of, including the attraction that might be for, oh who knows, a reality TV show, a job in the Trump machine," he said.

King added: "There's fame and fortune, and there's also the fear factor of retribution, which Donald Trump has not been shy about delivering against people. So all of that affects a person's judgment under those circumstances."

The conservative Iowa congressman would not get specific, but would only say, "I know things, but I'm saying what is appropriate, so that people will know enough, and I'm wanting to keep this on as high a plane as I can, but I don't think my conscience can allow me from not saying anything."

Cruz lied about liquidating ALL of his assets to fund his Senatorial campaign, when in fact he took out two different loans, and LENT his campaign the BORROWED money.
*****************************************
Cruz never said they “liquidated” all of their assets, as that would mean selling everything for cold cash.

They used their assets as collateral for loans.

More diversion from the original point of you post. You don’t care that what is “leaked” at this point is true or not.

King, if such an honorable man should be telling what he knows to be such a clear violation of election process to the authorities that oversee the process. Yet, he and you like the implied guilt that comes with the vague Reid-like accusation better than you like the truth.

As for the rest of your post, it’s just diversionary blather.

I had wondered if Trump was buying endorsements. It would not surprise me. The Falwell endorsement was unbelievable on its face. Donald Trump's personal life has been in flagrant contradiction to everything Liberty University professes. That Jerry Falwell's son would not only endorse him for President, but do so with a glowing testimonial on the character of the life he has led, beggars belief. My thought at the time was that "I hope it's a REALLY NICE building."

If Steve King has information, he should bring it forward.

Canada automatically makes a baby a citizen, but Cruz has never had any allegiance with Canada.

This topic is so boring to me, because it’s a NONissue.

Trump made it an issue, because Trump is disingenuous and downright NASTY.

Apparently dirty politics works, at least on some people.

“Diversion?”

You want to cry “diversion?”

You’re funny.

I am really tired of this BS as many here were huge Palin fans. Now she and a famous religious leader’s son are among those who have been bought. This is really low. Politics has turned into pure filth and anyone who engages in this should be disqualified and fired.

Well, well, well...nopardons raising her hypocritical little head again. Perhaps this time you’ll choose to answer the questions:

On this thread from 2011:
Meet Donald Trump, Sudden Right-Wing Conservative: Contributions, Abortion, Health Care, and Taxes

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2700816/posts

You said the following about St. Donald:
“Paying bribes to pols is one thing, touting them for president, as he did with Hillary, is quite another thing.
What about the rest of the facts, that are in this article? That man nothing at all to you either?
What about his disgusting personal life?
21 posted on 4/6/2011, 9:53:33 PM by nopardons”

AND then theres this gem:

“Here’s a news flash for ya................Trump can’t beat Obama! Trump would be even WORSE than Barry! He’s Clintonian re morals, worse than Barry re taxes, and far worse than Hoover re tariffs.
Because he has donated to more Dems than GOPers, is personal friends of the Clintons (he wanted Hillary to be president! ), has mob ties, his SCOTUS picks would be a disaster, as would his other appointments.

Care to explain? You’ve done a wonderful job of explaining all of our concerns about Trump.

Speaking of knowing things I wish Steve King knew how to get something down in Congress. He has that problem in common with his bud, Rafael.

We should ask Donald Trump to produce Ted Cruz’s Canadian passport.

Donald Trump is Harry Reid squared.

Where is the evidence of such accusations. This turkey only spewed rumors and you take his word...shame shame shame

If this turkey has evidence he is obligated to show it. Thus far he is only spreading rumors.

“..A Florida liberal said he would sue Cruz over eligibility... “

So what?

I think I’ll sue Trump for cheating on his wives. It would certainly be more interesting than discussing the birther issue.

Yes, you are right......he does favor Kelo.

But in most cases, it does have a beneficial effect....raising people out of ghettos and slums into better housing and thriving environments w/ better schools.

REFERENCE---A 2007 study by the Institute for Land Justice, a think-tank opposed to eminent domain, listed what it said were disparate effects of eminent domain. Taken together, more residents in areas targeted by eminent domain are ethnic or racial minorities, who have completed significantly less education, and live on significantly less income; more of them live at or below the federal poverty line, as quoted in the International Business Times.

My question was why Cruz didn’t settle this before he decided to run for office, and therefore spare people like me and you all this consternation about his eligibility?

Not very Christian of Cruz...

Here’s the video again for you:
