Even by the extraordinary standards of Donald Trump, it was a creepy chat-up line.

How about getting the quote right? Or is that not your intention? It starts with "They say I could ..." he is talking about the leftist view, of Trump supporters. Is he talking about your view of your fellow Freepers also?

He seems okay enough to me, and if he gets the GOP nomination, I’ll happily vote for him. Ditto Cruz, Rubio, whoever. I just don’t want Hillary or Bernie! I mean, geez. We are barely hanging on after 7 years of Obama. I just want someone in charge who loves this country more than socialism or Islam.
I can only imagine the reason this story is posted is because the Creepy Cruzers don’t like...then went down in a wroth.

Committed Trump supporters won't care. Trump supporters who recognize that they know nothing about the man apart from his self-promoting spiel and would like to learn more will care. And female Trump supporters will think of the last time they had to fend off an unsolicited advance and vote for the other guy.

Haw about YOU read or listen to it again and understand what he said? The “they say” is referring to “THE POLLS”. He is insulting the people who support him.

If you won the 1.5 B Powerball and went public, you might have similar problems as a very publicly visible candidate running for office for the first time. ‘They’ come out of the wood-work looking for a piece of your fame, fortune, and photo opportunities.

There are jerks on both sides, no doubt, but I have been on many, many threads where there is discussion, discussion, discussion, then a Cruz supporter introduces nastiness, extreme nastiness, and then it goes downhill from there.
Until that kind of thing started happening, I dont think Trump supporters in general criticized Cruz at all, because in general, we like (or liked, maybe now there has been a shift) Cruz.
But what happened was Trump started WINNING and that PISSED THE CRUZ PEOPLE OFF, and in their anger and outrage they started routinely going off the rails.
It will be interesting to me what will happen after tomorrow, when Trump pretty much puts Cruz away, what are the Cruz supporters going to do then? Get even angrier and nastier, or stop posting, or what... I dont know.
We shall see.

Of course his supporters would drop him in a hot second if he started shooting people. The LIBERAL LEFT think his supporters are so stupid that they would not care, you know the "bitter clingers" type of contempt the left has for the right. What it IS, is a crude tasteless joke that insults his supporters. It is just more ego-trip narcissistic bravado from a crude blow-hard.

We are hiring Trump to build a wall and to continue to expose the liberal media, nominate conservative judges, etc.
