The left has so much on Donald, much of it true, that is going to come out, which is why they r confident they will beat Trump.
His defenders on here may have a hard time defending some of it, time will tell.

Cruz will be portrayed as Elmer Gantry, George Wallace and Adolph Hitler - worst yet, he looks the part. Trump is well known already and he fights back. Along with that, if Trump’s history does not affect him in the Republican primaries there is no way it will affect him in the general.

I’ve noticed that whenever Trump supporters try to compare Trump to Reagan it’s always to Reagan’s faults.
Trump may have a liberal record, but Reagan once held some liberal positions too. Trump may have switched parties five times and said he identified as more of a Democrat, but Reagan once was a Democrat too. Trump may have been for amnesty, but Reagan was for amnesty too. Trump may have been a serial adulterer and is on his third wife, but Reagan was divorced once too.
Of course they can’t compare Trump’s history to Reagan’s longtime record of promoting conservatism after he left the Democrat party or his two terms as a conservative governor of California.
Trump lacks the conservative credentials to be considered on the same level as Ronald Reagan as a conservative.
He also lacks the personal qualities of being humble, gracious, kind and good natured that Reagan possessed. Reagan was a statesman while Trump is a bully.
So Trump supporters point out Reagan’s flaws to lower him to the level of Trump because they can’t cite Trump’s qualities that would elevate him to the level of Reagan.
The thing that really turned me off to Cruz was and still is, his supporters

Stephanopoulos pressed Trump on the specifics of his health care plan and how exactly it would differ from Obamacare.
