Today I was shown a piece of literature from the Cruz for President campaign that misrepresents the role of my office, and worse, misrepresents Iowa election law. Accusing citizens of Iowa of a "voting violation" based on Iowa Caucus participation, or lack thereof, is false representation of an official act. There is no such thing as an election violation related to frequency of voting. Any insinuation or statement to the contrary is wrong and I believe it is not in keeping in the spirit of the Iowa Caucuses.
Additionally, the Iowa Secretary of Stateâs Office never "grades" voters. Nor does the Secretary of State maintain records related to Iowa Caucus participation. Caucuses are organized and directed by the state political parties, not the Secretary of State, nor local elections officials. Also, the Iowa Secretary of State does not "distribute" voter records. They are available for purchase for political purposes only, under Iowa Code." - Paul D. Pate, Iowa Secretary of State

Admitted sent by that Kyle guy but not personally approved by him.
Apologize for the action of Kyle or do the Trump thing and not apologize. . .a choice he makes.
Thanks for being reasonable, Chuck. I know you don’t like Trump, but with some of the intense emotions that have been rolling out, I’ve been getting kinda worried about you.
So good to see that there’s no head’splode.
Busted I’d say!
Can’t stand that your boy committed voter intimidation and invasion of privacy, can ya? Not to mention his past support for policies (Against Prop 187, I do believe) that directly resulted in Americans being raped and murdered.
I don’t know about morals, but that puts him pretty low, especially since he’s directly connected to it and not separated by layers and layers of managers like Trump was.
PS: So if you’re gonna bring up something Trump’s wife did before they were married, does that mean we can bring up Heidi Cruz’s apparent suicidal depression, ties to globalists, and full-fledged support of amnesty? Personally I think that, especially amnesty, is a lot more important to most Americans than a woman who did some nude modeling.

SNICKER!!!!
Ethanol mafia throwing the kitchen sink.
How very snarky.
Show me a politician that apologized? It’s not just Trump and don’t blame him for Cruz’s lack of class on this issue. Trump never did anything so stupid.
If Cruz picks such bad people and keeps such loose an eye on them, he shouldn’t be president.
Snark?
Not intended that way.
Observation that Cruz has a choice to make; apologize (standard play from the political playbook) or not apologize (the new Trump playbook).
Nothing more and nothing less implied.
Just a personal observation.
I’d like one that shows the White House with the sign ...DON’T LET THIS BE YOU.
On the other hand Trumps political leanings, history and the man in general do not line up even close to what is significant to me in a candidate for the office of President of this country. I don't believe what he says , rather that he has other motives and reasons to run then what he's saying and this would not play out well for our nation or it's people were he to win the Primary.
I did know of his Military deferments and the mob ties he's had because after he announced I checked his record and history of voting etc.....what there was of to check. Like most it was fun to watch him for awhile there, but soon was just a repeat of the same boasting , insults etc. replayed time and again...and still does..... though he's refined himself a tad, but not enough for me to see him in the light others have....besides he's got far to go yet..
I think you and I know how things go during an election....most do here on Fr. but there are a few who enjoy baiting and fighting and feed off that. They love to rumble. So we each decide if we want to jump in that pool or not....which as of late seems they get a thrill defecating their body fluids in that pool. Those I prefer to scroll by or "play" on the edge with....they know who they are. Those who have been my Freeper friends will remain that...and if not then that's their choice once this election is over...as it is everyone here.
I'm sure they all do.
NOT - personalized, individual voters.
The man who apologizes is the bigger man.

In the case of someone who has genuinely done wrong, yeah. In this case, definitely yes.
Of course, if the media starts demanding you apologize, the correct answer is usually to double down because you’re probably right.
Well, duh, Cruz admitted it - what more do you need?
Post 472.
Repeat.
Cruz approved it - keep up, or do you have a brick between your ears?
Thank you.
Another Trump critic just had a private heart-to-heart. Most Trump critics just want me to leave them alone.
Your FRiendship [all Cruz supporters as well as Trump supporters] is important to me, more important than scoring points for either side at this late hour.
I’m out of the vetting side of this now.
FRegards ....
The media will sometimes jump on something wrong you did. That doesn’t mean you need to say your sorries to the media like they were your moral auditors. In a case like this Cruz could have issued a separate “classy” statement and then referred questioning media to what he had already done without further comment.
It may turn moot before long if the chickens come home on Cruz, which sometimes it seems unfair when they do on a “dedicated Christian” like that — but it’s a matter of God policing His obviously known people to minimize scandal.
Then the choice becomes to take a chance on Trump (also supporting whatever conservative deal-forging efforts, e.g. Sessions’, that may be going on with Trump) or else fold arms and sit out.
I think many people don’t have more than superficial experience with the issues that beset both Trump and Cruz, even though they SAY they have great insight. I am reminded of the duet “Things Are Seldom What They Seem” from the old Gilbert & Sullivan operetta “HMS Pinafore.”
For me ultimately it is a question like the biblical parable of the talents. What did each person do with what he got (and it might not be what the world calls a talent, but rather access to spiritual truth). Trump has the excuse, if I may put it thus, that he does not yet know gospel from goose feathers. This will not fly for Cruz. God is going to ask proportionally more from Cruz. And Cruz seems to be missing much of the grace side of Christian faith, that he is in much better position to know than Trump is.
Again...don’t make more of it than it is...which many do now.
This is a Primary race....winners and losers which often bounce between states....and the tally grows or lessens along the way. It would be cause to celebrate if my candidate takes Iowa, and if not...next and moving forward to.
Nor do I think any have to determine a second choice until the time for that might or not present itself. Nobody has even voted yet....let alone count.... Further Iowa is just ONE state of delegates....there are more to follow and anything can happen between now and when the ultimate winner is announced......there’s lots up for grabs at this juncture.
