Oregon protest leader Ammon Bundy and seven others were arrested Tuesday night. Protester LaVoy Finicum was killed in the confrontation with police and the FBI.

On Wednesday Cliven Bundy, father of Ammon Bundy, told reporters his son told him the FBI murdered militia spokesman LaVoy Finicum with his hands up.

First, it was not pitch black.
The time on the video is Zulu time. We spoke of this at length here on the thread where pretty smart Freepers pointed out the issue. Zulu time is GMT, which is 8 hours ahead of Oregon. It was 4:30 PM in the afternoon, and I have corrected my own site accordingly.
Second, you insinuation that because I worked for the Federal government therefore I condone/support murder is pure D hogwashh and Bravo Sierra.

I would be the first to call foul, irrespective of where I have worked. I have stood against the federal government before and would gladly do whatever I could now given my disabilities if called upon or needed..

There is much truth in what you say.
It was the higher-ups who set the stage.
Unfortunately, in our outrage over what has happened, we forget there is a lesson here--in how to stay alive to carry the banner in the future.
Stay calm, don't shout except as needed to be heard.
Be polite, not antagonistic or abusive. (These guys are pumped enough and there is 4.5 to 8 lbs (or less) of pressure between you and a casket.)
Make no threatening gestures or sudden moves.
Do your best to comply with instructions.
Calmly ask for clarification as to whose direction to follow if conflicting orders are given.
KNOW those guys are full of adrenaline and have their fingers on the trigger.
You can sort out whatever after the situation calms down, but YOU have to be the calming factor. YOU have to be the one to bring the officers off the adrenaline rush enough to be able to have any conversation.
Fail in that, and you just might get shot.
I was braced by LEOs in a tactical formation and recognized it immediately for what it was. I picked one officer who seemed to be in charge and calmly spoke with the officer and complied with instructions. I made no sudden movements, and we sorted out that I was not the hooligan they were looking for.
It did not hurt to have everything, from firearms to an unopened bottle of liquor in the vehicle perfectly legal.
Had I made a hostile move, had I been abusive toward the guys who were just doing their job, it would have been counterproductive, and perhaps fatal.

Absolutely. But the time to sort that part out is not when you are faced by a bunch of adrenaline charged guys who have been told they are going into combat by their superiors.
That is something which should be addressed while their guns are in their holsters and their mag wells are empty.
That they did not would give the impression they were being bushwhacked.
At the same time, I have no doubt the interception teams were told to expect a gunfight.
So, who set that stage?
Someone orchestrated this situation, right down to the order for drone surveillance, and those are the lap(s) the shooting should really land in.
Excerpt from interview “Today, Shawna Cox, who was also a passenger in Mr. Finicum’s truck provided a second eyewitness account of the events, including her efforts to try and help protect Ms. Sharp (and Ryan Bundy who was also a passenger) during “a hailstorm†of gunfire. Describing desperate pleas, screams, and constant prayer, Ms. Cox recounted her recollection of a barrage of “hundreds†of rounds of ammunition being fired into the white pickup truck by law enforcement agents – before, during and after Mr. Finicum’s death. The interview (included below) took place after Ms. Cox contacted me via text message, and in a subsequent telephone interview relayed her personal account of the events, including what she witnessed, what she heard and her first-hand recollection of how events were set-up by a suspected government informant.
In this January 30, 2016 episode of Free Capitalist Radio, Ms. Cox also expresses some reservation in sharing these details noting that, based upon her observation, the FBI and OSP wanted all of passengers in the vehicle dead, and that while free on pretrial release – she is still in a very risky legal and personal situation. But, she explains, “the truth must get out.†Her mission now, she says, is helping in the defense of all those arrested (including herself) and remaining dedicated to protecting the Constitution and continuing the fight to stop the abuses brought to light by the Malheur Refuge protest. In doing this, she says, she is also honoring the sacrifice made by LaVoy Finicum.”
