On Wednesday Cliven Bundy, father of Ammon Bundy, told reporters his son told him the FBI murdered militia spokesman LaVoy Finicum with his hands up.
âLaVoy Finicum was murdered. Cold-blooded murder. They shot him with his hands up.â

The driver couldn’t stop because he was evading the police and going way too fast for the conditions.
His estate should compensate the taxpayers for what it cost to put an end to his illegal activity.

No. Not you. I didn’t mean to suggest you were, Gaffer.
But, there are. They’re vehement. They swing opinions. They tamp down dissent. It’s their job to cause confusion.
Post your list!
Okay....my bad and I apologize that I misread you. I guess I’ll go take a nap. My wife always says I’m a dumbass country boy and that I need more naps. Take care, sorry.
No. My “stand” is that they (the protesters) took actions apparently without adequately thinking through the consequences, or totally disregarded them. They expected a leopard to act like it wasn’t a leopard.
In the video, which I just re-watched several times, a person I supposed to be LaVoy Finicum got out of the white SUV with his hands outstretched, then over his head, and then he started reaching around his person with both hands (and may or may not have come up with a gun) and the LEOs who were advancing on him shot him.
Bad move(s) on his part. RIP and condolences to his family.
I've suspected a few, but the only one I was ever positive was a fed plant was RobertPaulsen.
It’s ok. Don’t worry, FRiend.
It’s a hard thing to think about: dying on your knees.
“You might want to rethink all that. Based on evidence so far, the occupants of the truck never fired a single shot. But the feds/LEOs emptied dozens of round at them.”
They didn’t have to fire a shot. They were known to be armed and did fundamentally the same thing Michael Brown did in Ferguson, with a similar outcome.
This isn’t rocket science. If you put yourself in a life-or-death confrontation against guys who actually know what they’re going, you’re going to lose.
They didn't have to fire a shot. They were known to be armed
Ya, the feds got the kiddies public government schools running in panic when they see pictures of guns. No doubt.
So you think this is a perfectly legitimate shoot, because they believed they were possibly armed at the time. Go it!
he exited that truck in like 2-3 seconds, was he wearing a seatbelt, did he impact the steering wheel, did the handgun in his pocket break some ribs.
Perhaps you should step away from the keyboard for a break?
Do remind yourself that there were no witnesses and remind yourself of why they were afraid of “arrest” under such conditions.
The FedGuv operatives could have arrested David Koresh when he went jogging or wnet to town. Instead they played Rambo, took casualties, and returned with overwhelming military force and roasted a couple of doeen children and a bunch of adults.
A reasonable and prudent person would want to be arrested in a setting with witnesses.
Also, have you considered that if the witness was right, and that spots were fired at the traffic stop, that their attempt to reach the nearest town of John Day was also reasonable under the circumstances?
The truck was taking multiple rounds. You would have quickly exited that truck with your hands up too.
Not sure what video you were watching, while his hands were in the air when he exited the vehicle, when he got shot, it sure looked like he was reaching for something at his waist to me
Exactly. But that wasn't part of their plan.
“Answer this simple question HONESTLY: of everything you’ve seen or heard, who actually - not allegedly - threatened anyone’s life, i.e., who pointed (much less fired) a weapon at anyone in the last couple of months?”
Oh, the Feds, of course. But that’s what they do. Force is the only real option they have when dealing with opposition or dissent. The trick is not to push it to the level where they’re able to get away with killing you.
“Blaming the victim is not very sporting...”
Just pointing out strategic and tactical errors when people start shouting “Murder!”

Excuse me, but exactly how is anything “fundamentally the same thing Michael Brown did in Ferguson”? Remind me again of how Finicum punched a LEO and wrestled for a gun and then charged the same LEO, just after assaulting a much smaller man and stealing from him. And while you’re at it, describe to me again how Michael Brown happened onto a roadblock with several LEOS holding drawn weapons (not to mention snipers, overhead aerial assets, etc).
I agree that the outcome was all too predictable, but that doesn’t absolve everyone of the homicide, nor does it mean that rational people should condone it.
You got it. Comparing this with anything in Brown shoot in Ferguson was absurd.
Yeah, he was reaching for the Taser prongs or the gunshot wound...
The audio that the Feds have would tell us, but strangely, they haven't released that...
