The Cruz supporters here think his “poison pill” explanation for his maneuvers during the Gang-of-Eight debates in 2013 were just brilliant. The real question is, what will the vast majority of potential supporters who don’t keep close track of such things think about the “poison pill” explanation?
Might it turn out to be so “brilliant” that only a few can understand it, or are willing to buy into it?

Like Michael Savage said months ago - totally unelectable for various reasons , a few of which you mentioned .

It makes me laugh to watch. For so long I saw mockery of Ron Paul’s supposedly loony, fawning followers who always argued that he won every debate even though he would have only answered two or three questions. But, at least he did answer some questions. Trump didn’t even show up, and yet here are his own devotees on this very site arguing that he won. It really is quite risible.

Earlier, I voted for Trump in a poll at the Washington Times, and it was a similar margin... 55%. A rather tiny sampling however (a 3 figure vote tally) in comparison to Time’s 5 figure count.

That stuff is three-dimensional political wonk crap. Most people don’t understand, and simply want straight talk.
Sorry Ted. You are very intelligent, but short on common sense for the average guys and gals.
And Trump is entirely correct, the eligibility issue is not settled.
The historical FACT is we have NEVER had a President born outside the US. That means there is NO legal precedent in case law, concerning the Presidency.
