The Cruz supporters here think his “poison pill” explanation for his maneuvers during the Gang-of-Eight debates in 2013 were just brilliant. The real question is, what will the vast majority of potential supporters who don’t keep close track of such things think about the “poison pill” explanation?

Might it turn out to be so “brilliant” that only a few can understand it, or are willing to buy into it?

Is there video anywhere of Cruz saying his efforts were a poison pill AT THE TIME THE LEGISLATION was being discussed?

That stuff is three-dimensional political wonk crap. Most people don’t understand, and simply want straight talk.

Sorry Ted. You are very intelligent, but short on common sense for the average guys and gals.

And Trump is entirely correct, the eligibility issue is not settled.

The historical FACT is we have NEVER had a President born outside the US. That means there is NO legal precedent in case law, concerning the Presidency.

What I never understood about that poison pill, is why Ted was still pushing H1-B Visa increases to 500% of what it had been two years later.

If it was a poison pill, why keep pushing it?

His explanation didn’t make sense.

They are going to think Cruz is evasive. There is no avoiding that take by the average person who has no clue about how dysfunctional the senate is, and how just about every decision is debated with games and slick rhetoric, instead of direct, honest debate.

Kelly stuck it to them by playing numerous amounts of footage showing they both changed their stance on immigration during the debates...It was like watching a couple of perch tossed up onto the pier, flip-flopping to get back to the protection of the water...

Kristi kind of saved them both by claiming there's nothing wrong with changing your position as a politician, 'as long as you admit it'...

Neither one was willing to admit they flip-flopped even tho they were shown on the screen doing it...The bad thing about not admitting changing their position is that they are free to flip flop again if need be...
