The rumors are swirling... Two Republican candidates reportedly called Donald Trump and said they wanted to attend his veterans fundraiser tonight at Drake University.

Not because I am a Trump supporter (I'm a Cruz man) but because I want to see someone shake up this phony beat up on the leading Republican inquisition we call debates and if that guy ends up being Trump then more power to him.
I can saw worse about Cruz, however, why bother...the Canada thing is enough to sink him.
All the other candidates know that if Cruz loses Iowa, the crown jewel of his campaign, he will collapse heading into NH and SC where he is not even second. Cruz has put all his chips on Iowa. It remains to be seen how it turns out.
IMO Cruz made a huge mistake going after Trump this early. The two of them could have made it a two person race after the first four primaries. Instead, Cruz launched his attack now and invited the street fighter from Queens to pummel him hurting Cruz in the polls and providing an avenue for the GOPe candidate, namely Rubio to move into second place. When that happens, the GOPe will coalesce behind Rubio, which could force a brokered convention.

If he didn’t know Canadian law, how is that HIS fault? Let’s see ANYWHERE, ANY TIME when Ted checked anything other than American. Financial aid forms, applying for licences, etc. He is not now, nor has he ever been Canadian. I’ve said all there is to say about this stupidity. Stupidity.

Apparently, Cruz learned he was canadian and filled out an official form to renounce his Canadian citizenship. I’ve seen that form posted on FR.
My question is, when he was born and instantly became American and Canadian, did he also instantly become Cuban? Has he renounced his Cuban citizenship too?

Its going to be kind of hard to make that argument to the American public, when Cruz has a Canadian Birth Certificate! There are a lot of lawyers who disagree with you as well.

From what I understand of the law, your first statement is correct. However, it Cruz would have been an automatically naturalized U.S. Citizen, not a “natural born citizen,” which is what is required to run for the Presidency. The legal definition of “natural born citizen” seems to be the problem - since that doesn’t seem to be settled.
And that’s all that Trump was saying. This needs to be settled, and Cruz needs to be immune to legal attacks from the Democrats if he’s to be the nominee (or running mate).

Sorry to tell you, but your posts make it clear that you already have been. FOX’s actions were outrageous even by MSNBC standards. They dropped this opportunity in Trump's lap and he took it. Mouth dropping stupidity on Fox's part. Your perfect candidate was given an opportunity as well to pull out of his nose dive into oblivion by doing the right thing and actually standing up to the media as well. But he is in full on panic mode and chose to take cheap shots instead. Too bad for him.
