Next Monday morning, the polls open that begin the process of deciding who will become the two main contenders in the 2016 US presidential election.
Can you guess who they'll be? Microsoft can.
The company has a tool called Bing Predicts, tied to Microsoft's search engine (Bing). While the tool can be used for a variety of different predictions, in this instance it's looking at searches, polls, and prediction markets to determine who will win the presidential primaries.

Can’t wait for the first Trump-Clinton debate...
Yes, but can it predict the winning lottery numbers for tonight? How about next week?
Apple on the decline. Microsoft on the rise. Ah the good days are back!
I’ll bet that the Grand High Poo-Bahs of the GOPe are swallowing fistfuls of Tums like it was popcorn. LOL!
I was quite amazed that Win 10 installed seamlessly on my 3 yr old laptop. Somebody told me that since Ballmer left, customer service is actually considered a virtue at Microsoft now?
Which one will pull out first? Precedent has been set now. If you don't like something, don't do it.
Ballmer was the worst thing that ever happened to Microsoft. Satya Nadella is the biggest reason Microsoft is relevant again.
Agreed Ballmer was a disaster. Yet he had the nerve to question MS last earnings call over the cloud rev/cost. Really, all MS has done is increase from $35 - $52 per share since you left and you are complaining!!
My prediction model agrees. :-)

I can confirm this, from purely anecdotal evidence, one of the things I sincerely dislike about Windows 10 is it turns off my PC after 30 minutes in sleep mode.
I loved just hitting a space bar and boom, back in business.
I spent 20 minutes on the phone with a rep trying to get settings changed/fixed to where this doesn’t happen. After the rep having control of my machine for 10 minutes she basically concluded and admitted that it was a 10 “feature”.
Very unusual to get 20 minutes of a MS reps time without paying for it. Oh, should I say it used to be?

In your dreams. PC’s are still like old British cars, you need to have at least two of them to be sure you can get where you’re going.
The key is 8 wins with 50+%. It doesn’t show any of those in the first primaries. Without those 8 the RNC chooses the nominee and it could still be Jeb even if he never rises above 1% in any primary.
The Grand High Poo-Bahs of the GOPe only have to keep Trump, or Cruz for that matter, from winning 8 majorities in the primaries to have their way with it. They wrote the rules to get the junior Bush. Even if Trump gets the 8 majorities they will likely try some other shenanigans like producing rules that were put in place but not announced.
Microsoft has been flogging the dead Bing horse since it landed with a thud on the market.
This is press-release-as-news with the problem compounded by a tech site needed MS ad dollars badly.

Past performance does not guarantee future results...
MSFT...$52.04...P/E: 34.61...1 year estimate: $59, +11%
AAPL...$95.25...P/E: 10.34...1 year estimate: $143, +50%
I think it’ll be a great idea to own AAPL during the time of the iPhone 7 rollout.
If the GOPe try any shenanigans to cheat Trump out of a fairly earned nomination, he will be within his rights to consider the “no independent run” agreement to be null and void.
Even if Trump did not run as 3rd party, so many people would be disillusioned by the ham-handed GOP as to stay home rather than vote for whoever the kingmakers in the smoke-filled back room appoint, thus throwing the election to the Communists (aka “Democrats”).
If he wins nearly all the primaries but with less than 50% and is kept out of consideration at the Convention I would hope he goes independent. I am less and less pro Trump as he talks more and more like someone who aspires to be the ultimate Washington Insider but if he wins as big in the primaries as it appears likely then no other candidate is going to win a heavily Soros/Democrat chicanerized election and he would be the only choice to beat the Democrat.
