Donald Trump Campaign Manager: Other Candidates Thinking About Skipping Fox Debate
Breitbart ^ | 01/27/16 | Charlie Spiering

Posted on 01/27/2016 9:18:07 AM PST by Enlightened1

Speaking on Good Morning America and Morning Joe this morning, Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski hinted that other candidates were thinking of dropping out of the upcoming Fox News debate after Trump decided to bail.

He asserted that anchor Megyn Kelly was "obsessed" with his boss, which was one reason why Trump decided not to participate.

"Megyn Kelly is totally obsessed with Mr. Trump," Lewandowski said on Good Morning America. "She's done multiple shows on why he shouldn't be even involved in the race on television. She's completely obsessed with him. It's impossible to have a fair and honest debate."

Lewandowski argued that Fox News was trying to use the event to promote its own employees, not the issues that mattered to voters.

"What Fox wants to do is they want to have 24 million people tune in to watch Donald Trump so that their anchors can have the story about them," he said, pointing out that Trump could see it was a "bad deal" to appear at the debate.

Lewandowski previewed a Trump event in Des Moines, saying he would be raising money for wounded veterans, and said in an interview on Morning Joe that other campaigns had phoned them for details of the event.

"I had a number of calls yesterday with some of the other campaigns who said, hey, can we come and join you in raising money for the wounded warriors, for veterans because, you know, if Fox isn't going to be fair to you, what makes you think they're going to be fair to us," he said.

He called Fox executives "very dishonest" for accusing him of threatening Kelly in phone calls, and accused them of favoring other candidates because they had family members working for them.

Interesting. Absent Trump, which candidate do you come closest to agreeing with of the following: Sanders, Cruz, Rubio, Carson, or ?

Tough question, but easy to narrow down.

Cruz and Rubio aren't eligible to be POTUS, so they're not even in the race as far as my vote is concerned.

Sanders is a socialist, which I assume you know and are using as a humorous insult to my character and intelligence. Lame lol.

Carson is eligible, but I don't consider him presidential enough.

He's an excellent doctor, but I figure doctors as Presidents is like doctors flying high performance light aircraft and I'd rather not chance it.

Removing the possibility of Trump leaves no current contender for POTUS on my radar.

Like I said, I'm just an observer at this point.

“David Vitter skipped debates in LA in 2015 and lost the race for governor to an Obama-bot.”

I feel it necessary to point out that Vitter is not Trump. Those debates was basically not watched.

This is pure idiocy. I don’t buy what Lewandowski’s saying for a moment.

All the other candidates will show up.

What is Trump afraid of? Getting exposed for who he truly is?

I’m losing confidence in Trump’s authenticity on a daily basis. His stated preference to deal with Pelosi and Reid inspires nothing from me.

A lot of you people need to open your eyes a little wider...

He’s attempt to understand the pull out of DT. Trump has thrown away the rule books used by media and party and totally re-written the rules. He doesn’t blame Trump one bit for pulling out of Fox debate. Explains that Trump need not feed himself to the lions and show up because he is asked to do so. He has the majority and now able to do what he does. Rush also mentioned the fact that Rinse and repeat was quick to pull out of NBC debate when they had Cruz in the midst of the lions circle. Where was he this time for Trump?

He is NOT railing on any candidate nor is he endorsing any candidate...he is talking of his own feelings and deductions as to what he sees and attempting to assess this for the rest of us. His brain is processing facts just as many of us have been taxing ours as well. Very good analysis BTW

Cowards run away.

***

And morons walk right into an obvious trap, am I rite?

If it was Cruz doing this, you’d probably be singing his praises, but once again, Don stole all the thunder.

Just as planned.

Trump is still the only one who’s right on the border issue.

The border issue is the only issue that matters in this campaign, because if we lose that, we lose everything as our electoral process is subverted.

Cruz is pathetic on the borders and can’t even bring himself to say the word ‘deport.’ The others are outright open-borders shills.

Trump is the only choice.

Deal with it.

It would be a hoot but the others can’t take the chance. They’d gain a few hearts but they’re already so far behind it’s not even funny. They shouldn’t be on stage as it is. No one would miss them.

So Fox has resorted to hired guns.

How insidious of them.

“They shouldn’t be on stage as it is. No one would miss them.’

Judging from the polling data, I’d wager that they are already beyond being missed and more like forgotten! I just imagine after New Hampshire, we will see a bunch of them drop out. They should have done so a couple of months ago.

Funny there seems to be a religious fanatic cult here (do I hear lunatic Glen Beck) posting this blasphemy all over FR.

Hard to believe we have 3 idiots as first term senators thinking they should win the Presidency. Thank God the American people say otherwise.

Where did they get such a ludicrous idea I wonder. Could it be from current squatter at WH?

Didn't Rand Paul threaten to boycott the last debate until Fox caved and included him in the top tier?
