Trump Campaign Statement on Debate

- JANUARY 26, 2016 -

TRUMP CAMPAIGN STATEMENT ON FOX NEWS DEBATE

(New York, NY) January 26th, 2016 - As someone who wrote one of the best-selling business books of all time, The Art of the Deal, who has built an incredible company, including some of the most valuable and iconic assets in the world, and as someone who has a personal net worth of many billions of dollars, Mr. Trump knows a bad deal when he sees one. FOX News is making tens of millions of dollars on debates, and setting ratings records (the highest in history), where as in previous years they were low-rated afterthoughts.

Unlike the very stupid, highly incompetent people running our country into the ground, Mr. Trump knows when to walk away. Roger Ailes and FOX News think they can toy with him, but Mr. Trump doesn’t play games. There have already been six debates, and according to all online debate polls including Drudge, Slate, Time Magazine, and many others, Mr. Trump has won all of them, in particular the last one. Whereas he has always been a job creator and not a debater, he nevertheless truly enjoys the debating process - and it has been very good for him, both in polls and popularity.

He will not be participating in the FOX News debate and will instead host an event in Iowa to raise money for the Veterans and Wounded Warriors, who have been treated so horribly by our all talk, no action politicians. Like running for office as an extremely successful person, this takes guts and it is the kind mentality our country needs in order to Make America Great Again.

Trump won’t be on Hannity after all. Reports are he talked with Hannity, Hannity was wanting him to do the debate so he said no and is refusing to do the show because he only wants to talk with Rupert Murdoch about the gotcha games planned for debate and Fox’s attitude towards him. Therefore, he won’t talk to anyone else from Fox News. He rebuffed calls from Roger Ailes.

FNC sold advertising based on Trump’s FREE participation.

Advertisers paid for the Trump debate.

FNC has some explaining to do...

Actually, from the sounds of this, it was not attempt to jack up the ratings, but rather to take him down once and for all. This story broke late this afternoon: Google and Fox TV Invite Anti-Trump Muslim Advocate to Join Next GOP TV-Debate

she probably called her husband to figure out if he could get McCain.

If McCain appears on FNC it was all Kelly.

Good for him. When you are a billionaire you talk to other billionaires. Roger Ailes is inconsequential as is Megyn. I bet Rupert is pissed at Ailes for losing all that money.

Hannity thinks this is just between Trump and Megyn. But Hannity does understand Trump was walking into a firing squad like in August. Megyn is completely against Trump.

It is only cute to those who like Cruz. Nobody else will bother with it.

Brilliant? Hardly

Yeah I agree. Trump was going to be attacked, similarly to August, in that debate.

Those snotty little snark tweets from FOX was why Trump backed out. He was going to debate.

That alone was why he pulled out.

After every debate during presidential cycles, Republicans and conservatives come on FR and say, rightfully, "WHY does the Republican leadership allow our candidates to participate in these debates moderated by liberals and haters whose questions are totally designed in prejudice and bias to GET the Republican? Why do we do it every year? The Republicans need to refuse to do it with these main stream media/Government controlled media asking the questions with their extreme leftist/Democrat party bias."

EVERY debate season preceding every presidential election. Why doesn't the GOP chairman stop this, why AGREE to it, why not DEMAND to be treated fairly? Why do we need "moderators" asking questions anyway?

NOW we finally have a candidate with the cajones, the only one in this bunch, only one in living memory, to refuse to participate unless the debate host network removes the HIGHLY PARTISAN, unqualified, proven Trump hater, transparently seeking to curry favor with her left wing friends and colleagues.

And NOW the Cruzers on FR who weren't even around for all these previous debates in history, knew or cared nothing about politics or were simply Democrats---NOW these people, to support their Establishment candidate, call Trump a COWARD, he's too afraid to face Megyn Kelly. Even Ted Goldman Sachs Cruz is saying it. That's pitiful, because THIS is EXACTLY what conservatives and republicans have wanted for years and years: to NOT let the host network get away with using moderators who are leftists intent upon embarrassing and trying to ruin our candidates, in this case Trump.

So Trump is THE one to set the precedent, to DO what everyone before just TALKED about, and the idiots who should be over on Commitment2Establishment so childishly say, Trump is afraid of Megyn Kelly! LOL!!!!!!!!!!

PS---Trump kicked ass in SIX DEBATES and no one laid a glove on him, and now the losers want another shot at the heavy weight champion. But they aren't in his class. So no rematch.

Exactly. So well said. Clapping.

Anyone who agrees with Fox News here deserves to have the bought and paid for media run their lives.

OUR NUMBER ONE ENEMY isn’t ISIS. It’s the American media. Every election they OWN us all with their dog and pony debates where they control all topics and angles.

Bravo, Donald Trump. You are exemplifying leadership.

You need to post this as it’s own vanity thread.

This is ALL I’ve been thinking about for the last hour.

He’s afraid of a reporter? How is that presidential?

If you want the job, you’d better be willing to stand before the people and let them know why you ought to have it, not duck like a coward.

I predict that he shows up.
