An 11-year-old boy from Raleigh, North Carolina, got to see liberal hate firsthand when he expressed support for billionaire businessman Donald Trump during a class assignment.
The student, only known as "Matthew," called conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh Thursday and told him he attended a very liberal private school and one of his assignments last week was to answer the following question: "Beside Martin Luther King, who are some visionaries who are in the world?"
While others wrote down such answers like Rosa Parks and Abraham Lincoln, Matthew said he wrote down Donald Trump's name. The next day, Matthew said the teacher pulled him aside and told him to erase the comment. When he asked why she asked, "What good has he done for this world?"
Matthew said he told his teacher Trump has "created his businesses, and he's built magnificent buildings in many countries in the world, and he's actually running for president while he's actually stating his ideas."
The teacher still insisted Matthew erase his comment. The boy told Limbaugh he "got mad after that." But that wasn't the end of his problems. After that incident, Matthew said he had become target at school with schoolmates telling him, "Donald Trump's sucks and you do too."
He admitted he didn't know what to do, telling Limbaugh, "I don't exactly like backing down that much and I was kind of disturbed by that."
Limbaugh explained to Matthew that how liberals operate and that his classmates and teacher were jealous of him and they felt they could pick on him because the teacher called him out. It's shameful that a teacher, who is supposed to foster children's ideas and growth, would do such a thing to a child.

“if Cruz is the nominee, I’d vote Cruz. If Trump is the nominee, I’d vote Trump. If Jeb is the nominee, I’d...stay home and get drunk. “
Nice. Tempted to make that my tag line.
I haven't missed a day on FR since before I signed up and I can tell you that the Cruzers started it. The endless invasion of pro Trump threads with the attempt to append Cruz to every good thing reported with, go Trump/Cruz admonitions. When that didn't work about a dozen particularly nasty Cruzers escalated the attacks.
The Democrats are loving the new Cruz / Trump split among conservative voters. Looks like Hillary and Sanders might have a chance if the conservatives keep fighting among themselves.
May I ask why? Is that a suggestion someone else had and it sounded like a good idea to parrot? Out of a country of 300 million plus there is no better qualified EXECUTIVE for VP than an Ivy League lawyer born in Canada, owned by Goldman and plays Hollywood with Glen Beck by swearing on a compass of Washington? Please. I pray Trump will pick a VP that he believes could be a successful executive to lead the country if something untoward ever happened to himself.
Bushes are big in Texas and big PP supporters. Grandpa Preston was the treasurer I believe of the organization that became PP
Your first sentence is dead on. January 2015 or before.

Oh my, it must have been horrible for you having other kids in your sand box.
Wrong Cruz does have a team here and they are a very nasty crew.
Fundamentally Typical.
If the kid wanted to play with the Commie teacher’s head, he should have said Lee Harvey Oswald.
Do you need a tissue?
lol
I guess my parents were absolute trash then, huh? There actually ARE conservative teachers, and there are many of them that frequent FreeRepublic.
as though that hasn’t gone both ways the last 2 months on FR.... Look I’ll vote for either of them in the general, but people have been ridiculous the last few weeks going both ways. Frankly I’ve been disappointed in everyone.
I'm leaning Trump, but I have to point out that Cruz doesn't have any control over what his FR supporters say. This seems like a very irrational reason to dislike a candidate, but then tribal instincts do seem to dominate politics these days.
I guess it's a matter of perspective, and maybe since I've been away from FR for awhile and just returned in the last few days, but from what I've seen the vitriol against Cruz here on FR (and especially that directed towards his supporters and even long-time solidly conservative columnists who deign to question the wisdom of supporting Trump) is a lot heavier than what I've seen from the other direction.
I’m actually taking off the day after the election this year. I figure if a conservative wins it’s time to celebrate...and if not...well it’s time to drown out the pain...don’t know if I can deal another 4 years......
Makes me wonder how the anti-FDR guys handled that 4th election....
What I noticed on THIS thread:
First two posts were "Wow" and "Ping"
Third post was a slam against National Review readers (who are for the most part traditional conservatives)
Fourth post was a slam against Ted Cruz supporters (much worse than liberals).
That was well before anyone from the Cruz side posted any comments, the first of which IIRC was something to the effect of "y'all are letting the Cruz supporters live in your heads" (not exactly a vicious attack).
Yes, it got old real fast. Thought I was on that other unmentionable site.
