An 11-year-old boy from Raleigh, North Carolina, got to see liberal hate firsthand when he expressed support for billionaire businessman Donald Trump during a class assignment.
The student, only known as "Matthew," called conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh Thursday and told him he attended a very liberal private school and one of his assignments last week was to answer the following question: "Beside Martin Luther King, who are some visionaries who are in the world?"
While others wrote down such answers like Rosa Parks and Abraham Lincoln, Matthew said he wrote down Donald Trump's name. The next day, Matthew said the teacher pulled him aside and told him to erase the comment. When he asked why she asked, "What good has he done for this world?"
Matthew said he told his teacher Trump has "created his businesses, and he's built magnificent buildings in many countries in the world, and he's actually running for president while he's actually stating his ideas."
The teacher still insisted Matthew erase his comment. The boy told Limbaugh he "got mad after that." But that wasn't the end of his problems. After that incident, Matthew said he had become target at school with schoolmates telling him, "Donald Trump's sucks and you do too."
He admitted he didn't know what to do, telling Limbaugh, "I don't exactly like backing down that much and I was kind of disturbed by that."
Limbaugh explained to Matthew that how liberals operate and that his classmates and teacher were jealous of him and they felt they could pick on him because the teacher called him out. It's shameful that a teacher, who is supposed to foster children's ideas and growth, would do such a thing to a child.

PING
These days it’s hard to tell if his teacher is a lib or a subscriber to National Review.
But I know how he feels. I got some flak back on the 90s for being on the right as a teen from other students. But it was a different time, and my teacher was always fair to all points and would never have done something this mean.
He was lucky it was liberals. The Cruz supporters are far worse.
bump
LOL I used to have some affinity for Cruz until I got constantly insulted by his team on FR.
Time to change schools. Ain’t no telling what they are teaching these children in that cesspool...................
Sad, but....I don’t get it.
What is the “sick surprise”?
LOL
Dint know MLK wuz reborn. Is that a reincarnation thingie?
I don’t know if this is true or not - but I can tell you 1st hand one of my first political moments in my life was in 2nd grade..
We did a straw poll in our class room for president and I chose Reagan - I will never forget my teacher telling me that was the wrong answer... Like it happened yesterday...
In 2nd grade I lived in Texas.. None are immune...
Oh yeah, sure.
Decent folks don’t let their kids grow up to be public schoolteachers....
Y’all are seriously letting Cruz roam around in your heads. Seriously, your obssession is not healthy.
I think this might be it...
“The next day, Matthew said the teacher pulled him aside and told him to erase the comment. When he asked why she asked, “What good has he done for this world?”
Or pay the kid a visit.
Or pay the family's attorney fees and sue the pants off the school, provided there are legitimate grounds. I can't think of any, but I can wish.
Or buy billboard space all over Raleigh with some kind of delicious Alinsky like tactical messages.
Or ask his callers to put their thinking caps on and come up with the perfect response on his dime.
I was sitting in a government class when I was around 16. And the subject of abortion came up. I was pretty much savaged by the class, and the teacher just let it happen. I got booted from Poms, Cheerleading and Campus Bowl. I had some classmates come up to me later and say that they agreed with me, but wouldn’t say anything after seeing what happened to me. I’d like to think it made me a stronger person.
I tried to tell a couple of them a month ago that they were doing more harm than good to their candidate.
But, did they listen? NOOOooooo
Wow.
