The Iowa caucuses are 10 days from Friday. And Donald Trump, the larger-than-life real estate reality star, is -- still -- the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination. Not only has Trump not disappeared or imploded -- as everyone everywhere predicted he would -- he appears to be getting stronger in both early-state and national polling as actual votes draw closer. At this point, Trump's path to putting the nomination away quickly is far easier than the one Hillary Clinton must travel to capture the Democratic nomination. That doesn't mean Trump is a sure thing just yet, but he has, without question, the best chance of any Republican running to claim the party's top prize.
Below, my latest rankings of the six men who have a realistic-to-semi-realistic chance of winning the GOP nomination. If your preferred candidate's name isn't on the list, it's because they, well, aren't going to win.

Handwriting, meet wall.
I think Trump is going to clean Cruz’ clock in Iowa.
And run the table after that.
I don’t get how many people just jump aboard the cult of personality.
I fear 2008 all over again. I do hope I’m wrong though.
I wish real Americans would wake up and realize too that the country can’t be fixed by man. People need to turn their hearts to God.
The final concession. It was a long time coming.
He's not running.
Nor does He endorse candidates.
The Trump is twisting the establishment into knots of anger and despair.
Trump said he could shoot someone and not lose a vote because of his loyal supporters. I think he was slyly referring to Shillery in that she isn’t losing votes despite all the crap he has gotten away with. It all started during the Nixon debacle when she was fired for unethical behavior proving that her middle name _ Rotten - suits her to a T. GO TRUMP!
Don’t doubt for a minute that a lot of Americans have been praying for this day to come.
I agree, prayer to Christ works for me. And I like Trump.
Obama wee not vetted by the msm. It was a cult of personality
Trump has been scrutinized for decades. Even has childhood friends that are still friends speak out about his life. There are 20 30 year old videos of him being interviewed or speaking in front of congress laying out how their actions hurt the economy
If you think his followers only are following his public persona you haven’t bothered to research the REAL Donald Trump
It is your failing not theirs
I think Bernie Sanders will clean Trumps clock. Trump isn’t promising freebies and the people want freebies.
I donât get how many people just jump aboard the cult of personality.
*************
Personality is one of the major factors that people are
attracted to in any of the candidates.
Trump will win some blue states. So bye bye Bernie.
While I agree with the end effect re: Hillary and the Watergate persecution committee, she was not technically ‘fired’. Her contract renewal was not approved.
There was some confusion over the actual event and it became “fired”, largely because the man responsible for approving it I think (don’t remember the name) sort of embellished it. IIRC he did later on correct that impression and state it was a contract nonrenewal.
IMO, she should have been fired - she should also have been disbarred because she actually made a case that Nixon should not be allowed any legal representation (for the benefit of the doubt here, assume she’d argue ‘government paid lawyers’) in addressing the case of acts committed while in office. This witch has been a b!tch from day one - always will be.
I still remember people on this site last summer (and early fall) stating, without reservation, the following:
“First, Trump WILL NOT BE THE NOMINEE”
...voices that have since been strangely missing now.
I’m one of those.....and I can’t wait!
I hear that term a lot.
I'll tell you: I like what Trump says. I like his plans. I like his proven ability to build teams, negotiate great deals, delegate authority effectively, and lead large organizations.
Immigration, taxes, guns, abortion, political correctness, government bureaucracy -- he's saying all the right things to me.
But some folks just see it as a "personality cult".
