Mark Levin opened his radio show with the disclosure a political campaign was attempt to intimidate him by disclosing his fiancee's son works in Ted Cruz's DC office.

He said he is going to find out and identify who it is.

He doesn't believe it is the Trump group.

Levin is supposed to be an objective conservative voice

Levin's business is a radio show about his opinions. His opinions are not federally regulated and thus require no disclosures of any kind.

Is the fact that Levin’s lady friend’s son, working for cruz, bothers you, then you should not listen to the show.

But to trash mark on this forum makes you look pretty and shallow.

Maybe that is where we are.....

Thankfully, I am getting ready for a road trip and won’t get back until mid February. I am thinking maybe I should forgo logging back in until December..

How is it relevant that he disclose a (soon to be) family member works for the candidate he’s supporting and promoting in a hotly contested presidential primary on his show 15 hours a week? Anyone should be able to figure that out. Didn’t Armstrong Williams get into trouble for promoting something that he benefitted from without having apprised his audience of that benefit? Who wins the R nomination and possibly becomes POTUS, if based to any extent on Levin’s promotion, certainly warrants full disclosure.

How is it not our business that he’s divorced/engaged to be married again? It’s not our business. I haven’t listened to Levin in years, tho I do occasionally hear him on another person’s radio, but I never heard about his personal marital situation and it’s none of my business. Doesn’t affect me, or any of his listeners.

Yep...at first glance, I thought maybe it was his son’s/daughter’s fiance. I didn’t realize Mark has a fiance - I thought he was married.

Just because you believe something does not mean that it's true. Asserting your belief does not constitute an argument for your belief.

I was personally receptive to many, many things that Trump was saying earlier in the campaign; so was Levin. I defended Trump publicly again and again; so did Levin. I noticed Cruz's inability to break out from Trump's shadow and I pointed this out to others; so did Levin.

When I learned more about Trump's rather worrisome political background, I was inclined to believe that he had sincerely changed his views on many things; so did Levin.

I cheered Trump on when he attacked the Establishment Republicans; so did Levin.

I did become worried again about Trump's campaign when he maligned Ben Carson so viciously. So did Levin. (So did Michael Savage.)

When Trump broke ranks so violently with Ted Cruz in what seemed to be Trump's desire to win at all costs, even at the cost of his honor, I completely abandoned Trump. So did Levin.

Here's a question for you: Was I just a shill for Cruz the whole time? No. And neither was Levin.

In short, your accusation against Levin is groundless.

(My biggest reservation about Trump had always been my fear that he would hit a popularity ceiling that Cruz should be able to avoid better than Trump could. But again, I was never a "shill" [to use your mean-spirited/judgmental word] for Cruz. I was genuinely interested in Trump, calisurfer. I am now utterly disinterested in him. I don't think he would have the moral courage to do all of the things that need to be done to save our country.)

Levin is not obligated to disclose this type of information. It's not a conflict of interest because he hasn't singled out any candidate. In light of all the numerous Washington bedfellow web of relationships, this is inconsequential. Hes not even married yet and what if this young man was hired before Levin got engaged?
Focus on the candidates and not all the candy. We need a leader who's allegiance is to the United States of America as well as one who has a healthy respect for We the People. Substance in policy and a definitive and articulate constitutional acumen for the law is a primary requirement. These Republican candidates need to focus on expressing their ideas instead of wasting time slinging mud at each other. If they are truly FOR this country and profess to be conservative, they should gladly forego their egos FOR THE SAKE OF OUR COUNTRY and not provide ANY opportunity for ANY Democrat to win at ANY cost.

Because it’s a family business. If a person is working for someone else, & they get (a) job(s) for (a) family member(s), I think that’s nepotism.

If Levin is supposed to be objective (Is he? I’m not sure he is), I guess this is problematic. But it is pretty much SOP. We might not want people to do this, but they do it.

I’m disappointed in him that he thinks Cruz is a NBC. But I think he really does think that. Or he’s doing it because he believes Cruz is his best support for a COS.The idea that he’s supporting Cruz to get his fiancee’s son a job in a President Cruz admin is weak, imho. (Maybe I’m being naive.)

If someone is trying to blackmail him, though, he needs to kick their behind. That would be true of anyone.

I'm recently became engaged to a wonderful woman, a fact that is nobody's business, but I'm proud of her. Her son works in the Senate office of Senator Cruz... Maybe he would have picked Senator Rubio or Mike Lee... I'm not even sure what he does...

Somebody tipped off a reporter or reporters to this devastating fact. They're trying to intimidate me. I haven't even endorsed Ted Cruz... Some campaign is trying to intimidate me with that information...

The fact that there is a campaign out there that is trying to intimidate me or silence me by digging up dirt is so absurd it should infuriate you...

I am so pissed off I want to find out what campaign did this I want to expose them.
