Donald Trump said Tuesday that federal regulators should increase the amount of ethanol blended into the nationâs gasoline supply.
Speaking at an event hosted by the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association, Trump, a real estate mogul and the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination, said the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ought to follow the ethanol volumes Congress set in 2007.
âThe EPA should ensure that biofuel ... blend levels match the statutory level set by Congress under the [renewable fuel standard],â Trump said. The mandate is popular in Iowa, which hosts the nation's first caucuses.

The EPA is at the very apex of FedGov evil and overreach. Why is this conservative candidate supporting such leftist evil? Is he pandering for votes, or does he really believe this earth-worship nonsense?

One nice little gem from the article:
Trump spoke very briefly about the ethanol mandate at the beginning of his speech, reading from notes in a straightforward fashion, before continuing onto other subjects in the more lively manner he usually shows in stump speeches.
In other words, "I'm just going to pander for a moment with these notes my political advisors handed me, before I start my speech about how terrible politicians are."

Trump is not only a salesman but a sell-out. This is Hillary-style pandering. It’s a shame that it will probably go over big with the Big Government subsidy lovers in Iowa.

If ethanol were good for your engine, everyone would use it without the force of law.

Yeah that would be great, ruin our engines faster, cost us more at the pump, and in taxes through new spending.
Trump really is coming out of his conservative “shell”.

No satire. Trump has been pandering to the Iowa corn lobby for
months on the ethanol issue.

He is not conservative. Rush says so almost every day. hardcore trumpees are blind.
You should look in depth at what he has said and changed his positions on just since he started running.
He is trying to win the Iowa vote and will say anything to do so.

I don’t know if ethanol is good or not, but I think it is a bad idea to use food for fuel.

I dunno, I’m plenty satisfied with how fast it’s chewing through mine. They can stop now if they like. :-)
