Although all of us are religious here we are of different faiths. This is not a religious thread. So out of respect of others we do not usually discuss it here unless there is something related in the rally. Nor do we quote from religious material unless someone requests knowledge or explsnatiin.
Good question. Trump really has enormous energy and I admire his drive to reach his goal. The man can get more things done in a day then anyone I have ever heard of.
If he isn't, at least he seems to want to preserve the Christianized culture that carried forward from the time of the founding. And if he is, he is shrewd enough not to trot it out and make it an issue for independent voters who are not rigidly right-wing (can't imagine where we would ever encounter any of those -- LOL!). His father isn't around to tell people whether he is anointed or not, so that's a plus. He does seem know better than to preach to people, since it's a general audience watching the national media. A mantle of piety that may win for Cruz in Iowa is not going to play the same on the populous coasts.

The “2” was awkward for some but it is not something I have not heard before. That’s the second time I have been in that camp. Maybe its the German heritage. My grandparents had manybPA Dutch speech patterns that originated in old Germany

I came hoping that someone would post the content of Trump’s remarks so I could see if he was still into the vicious bashing of Cruz. But nobody mentioned the contents at all so it was a wasted thing and I will not jump on any Trump appearance threads again.

After reading hundreds of pings on this thread, I believe it to be a pep-rally. I'm okay with that. Perhaps at FR we can have a designation given up front by the poster of just who's pep-rally it is, and then any opposition should leave them alone, sort of like schools that don't step on each other’s rallies? I support Cruz and I support Trump, Cruz more so, but I wouldn't attend a pep-rally for either. I'd just move on to more substantive debate elsewhere.
If you are referring to the Bible quote I posted to Georgia Girl, I can explain.
She lied about me. She said that I had been saying for a long time that Trump had Alzheimer’s.
The fact was that not too long ago I was a Trump supporter and he was a close second to Cruz for me.
OTHER people brought up the Alzheimer’s thing, intimating that he might succumb to it as his father had it.
What I did was DEFEND Trump against that charge.
I asked her to either prove it or apologize. She couldn’t prove it and she refused to apologize so I decided to brand her as a liar. She is a liar but I am through with her.
I will not bother with her again.
But that is why I (perhaps inadvisedly) used the Bible quote.

No; for clarity, it is not an enemies list. It is a sardonic list of the heroic figures in history that Trump supporters have compared him to, such as Reagan, King David, Patton, Alexander the Great, etc. It really is pretty harmless; witty, in fact. No use letting a misunderstanding take root here.
