Conservative radio host Glenn Beck apologized for claiming that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump had voted for President Barack Obama in 2012 and 2016, saying he'd been duped by a fake tweet.
Beck was a guest on Fox News' "The O'Reilly Factor" last week, making a case for why he thinks "progressive" Trump would be as big of a "monster" as Barack Obama â a case he's been making for many months.
Trump watched and responded to the show with a slew of unpleasant opinions about "dopey" Beck to a New Hampshire crowd.
When Trump denied ever having voted for the president Beck tweeted:
Why do you keep saying things like you didn't vote for @BarackObama ?⦠just admit it @realDonaldTrump pic.twitter.com/ZgL9OAOZck

“As a New Yorker, itâs very possible Trump voted in the Dem Primary because thatâs the only way his vote can count in that state. I would not hold that against him if he did.”
He didn’t. Trump openly supported and donated to McCain, then Romney. This time he decided to run himself.

Did I fall asleep and miss the election of 2016? Just damn! I hate when that happens.
It’s a given that on his next broadcast Pat and Stew will spin to his aide like the chuckleheads they are. It will be portrayed as some big joke. Typical of his MO.
I’d also wondered about the long term effects of alcohol on Beck’s brain, but I do know a number of people personally who’d been very serious, hard core drinkers, then went the AA route, and are fine, normal, moral people today. So it could also be something else we don’t know about with him, but he is for sure nuts.
Yep.
Beck is nothing more then a concern troll.
The Tea Party Patriots, headed by would be maoney magnets Jenny Beth Martin and Mark Meckler.
Blatent faux tea party leaders who always were ready to take credit for everything, and also tried to get tea party people to follow them instead of the real Tea Party Movement.
Well good for him.
He also tried to sabotage the Tea Party Movement and make it all about him.
I will apologize as well as I believed it when I saw it myself - when you’re wrong you’re wrong - but unfortunately it was very believable with regard to the Trump given the policies he has proposed and past praise of Obama and his policies. Now if only Trump would apologize for supporting Obama’s policies, attacking conservatives on the campaign trail, etc. we’ll be in business.
How many people here were part of the Tea Party Movement?
You sure don’t act like them.. Glenn Beck was part of that movement and he had almost a million people at the Mall in Washington DC.. Why are you so down on him? You didn’t used to be. Glenn Beck Stood up to Obama and his minions on National TV until he lost all or most of his sponsors. Why because he was telling you like it is.. I liked his show..
He has the 9-12 slot her too. That’s what my CD is for. Stopped listening to Beck long ago.
The fact that he’d regurgitate some random tweet that was obviously false to anyone who’s spent more than ten minutes learning about Trump should shock me but it doesn’t. The guy is self-evidently as dumb as a box of rocks, and it’s unfathomable that he gets to talk about politics on the radio.
No, Trump was not a “Johnny-Come-Lately” on “border security” in general, although he did more recently come around to the idea of total deportation of all illegals (as opposed to his earlier position of just focusing on removing illegal criminals). He’s been strong on border security for quite a while now, even discussing it in his 2000 book, The America We Deserve. He devoted a whole chapter of his 2011 book, Time to Get Tough, to securing the border called, “It’s Called Illegal Immigration for a Reason.”
Here are some excerpts that will clarify some of Trump’s positions on the border and the problems of illegal immigration prior to the last presidential election:
“Illegal immigration is a wrecking ball aimed at U.S. taxpayers. Washington needs to get tough and fight for ‘We the People,’ not for the special interests who want cheap labor and a minority voting bloc. Every year taxpayers are getting stuck with a $113 billion bill to pay for the costs of illegal immigration...
“Both sides need to grow up and put America’s interests first—and that means doing what’s right for our economy, our national security, and our public safety...
“Have we suddenly become an annex of Mexico’s prison system? If so, Mexico should pay for it. I actually have a theory that Mexico is sending their absolute worst, possibly including prisoners, in order for us to bear the cost, both financial and social...
“The root cause of all the welfare payments to illegal aliens is the so-called ‘anchor baby’ phenomenon...The child automatically becomes an American citizen, though this was never the intention of the Fourteenth Amendment...
“We’ve all heard it a million times: ‘We need illegal immigrants because they are willing to do jobs Americans just won’t.’ To that one I say, ‘Says who?’ We have 25 million citizens who need jobs, and 7 million illegal immigrants holding American jobs. Do the math...
“Look, if a nation can’t protect its own borders, it ceases to be a country. We’re not just some landmass that anyone who wants to can trample at will. I believe America is an exceptional nation worthy of protection. That requires getting tough on border enforcement...
“The wall there [in Yuma, AZ] is a serious 20-foot wall. It has three walls separated by 75-yard ‘no man’s lands’ for border agents to zoom up and down in vehicles. It also has cameras, radio systems, radar, and pole-topped lights...The point is that properly built walls work. We just need the political will to finish the job.”
Trump has been one of Obama’s biggest critics throughout his presidency, which has been very well publicized. Yes, he hoped Obama would be a cheerleader for the nation (hardly an endorsement of his policies), and he didn’t want the banks to go under tanking the U.S. economy. This hardly makes him an Obama supporter, if one is making any attempt to look at the whole picture rationally.
When Cruzers try to make him out to be an Obama supporter, it just makes them look unhinged and delusional. I don’t know why so many Cruz supporters go so far out of their way to misrepresent Trump, sometimes very radically so. I can only guess they don’t actually believe they could beat him and his ideas when they are honest about him and the playing field is even.
Glenn Beck passed out toys to illegals crossing at the southern border. He is certifiable.
And the funny thing is — why bother trying to make Trump look like a Hillary ally?
ROFL!
Real dirt on Trump coming up.
Why waste the time trying to put him in bed with Hillary, Don Quiote?
I might be a Trump supporter, but also an equal-opportunity basher.
Beck ... please ponder this for a moment:
Trump (as a NYer) on Gays and PARTIAL BIRTH Abortion
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/watch-cruzs-new-video-on-trumps-new-york-values/article/2580705
Partial ... birth ... infanticide ... without ... anesthesia.
Fully formed infant, almost entirely born. Savagely slaughtered.
Old news? Sure. But we on this forum made the case back in the 90s that PARTIAL BIRTH abortion is sheer evil. Not just any kind of abortion. It was the most Nazi/Holcaust policy the US ever had. No humanitarian in the US supports it.
So ... Trump had best be ready to make an apology of his own if anyone with a strong media voice knows how to convey the horrific evil of knowingly supporting such an attrocity.
Yeah, Beck’s lecture modes are tiresome. It’s the humor that makes him rock, and that’s not there every time I try to listen.
But God sends spirits to manipulate us. He once sent a lying spirit to trick a king into battle. It could well be that God did not want Beck to be effective this year.
So true
Read bout the Election of 1864. We are playing softball.
FY Glen Beck! You are a drunk worthless P.O.S.!
